It seems to me you only read what suites your argument this is what I said with regards his third appointment, "Where have I said McCall was the right manager to take us forward, that was Julian/Rupps choice and I've given you the reason why IMO they made that appointment we still had a chance of a play off place" I've not said it was a great appointment but do believe there was reasons behind it, it might be Julian and McGod are buddies it seems that's what your implying above , why have I got to justify his appointment. -

I believe @JonButterfield has said it all, experienced pro's leaving to be replaced by kids loans and some players in the twilight of their careers plus others who don't look like they can step up, he had words with Vaughan hoping we could get a reaction from him as he did with Marshall, Vaughan was never going to stay he made that clear and if he made a mistake it was holding out thinking this guy would come around once he got back on the training field with his team mates, Vaughan was looking after Vaughan his careers suggests exactly that.
I don't believe for one minute he could go out and replace Vaughan's goals within the player budget he was given, not forgetting the mutual agreement it would have cost the club getting rid, as a few pointed out the likes of Bolton/Mansfield did deals before the transfer cap was brought in when questioned if we would be doing the same Ryan told us we would be abiding by the salary cap, so no one actually knows what the player budget was after the Vaughan scenario etc.
I agree he would have had more input into signing this closed season that he did under his previous employers second time around but not sure the budget he was given was what your suggesting. -
Are you going to tell us what you heard in Block D if not why bring it up ?. -
I want to know why you personally think that during the current spell (his third) not before, from what he has done since he walked back through the door in February 2020, he is the right man to take us forward. what have you seen either on the pitch or off it to think he is the right man?
my answer re block D was to your question as to where I was when Hopkin and Collins were failing. I was sat in block D watching it. -

And yes, you're bang in line with Edin in your distaste for Stuart.
This season isn't so bad he needs sacking.
That's pretty much a categorical fact - you're predicting it will be bad enough to sack him, but that's just a prediction.Click to expand...
please don't mention his time as a player or his 1st or 2nd spell in charge. -

Here's a post where you told me to stop making excuses for him this was my reply I criticise him maybe not as OTT as others.

In reply to your highlighted above I was asking with regards your input on the forum not your attendance at the ground, Bowyers final couple of months were also dire. -

As I've said, he's been asked to cut his cloth, the wage bill has been slashed, no two ways about it, and many of the weaker players here were signed by other managers - instead of going out and signing a slew of players, Stuart has had to settle for experienced utility players, and I imagine he's been 'encouraged' to blood the youngsters in a season of financial consolidation.
The main thing he's been asked for, in my opinion, in terms of 'taking us forward' is putting us in a better, stronger position than the last couple of seasons. While the quality doesn't look to have either gone up or down, we have saved money while maintaining the standard.
Now if City had come out and said promotion is a must this season, that would absolutely be the right question - but given that Stuart and the coaching staff seem to be the only one making that aim a demand, I don't see how the fanbase can be upset with McCall at this point in time. -
brisbanebantams said: ↑great but you still haven't provided any examples of things you have seen that show why he can take us forward. Bowyer's last few months were dire, so have McCall's past 8.Click to expand...

Bronco said: ↑Don't you go worrying about me or my blood pressure, Mr Ford is looking after me, his past tenure at the club has been covered many times and that includes me the past is the past , but just for you I can make it clear.
The first time we all welcomed Stuart back as our new manager as he had done a few seasons as Neil Warnocks assistant and I suggesf that's a pretty good apprenticeship, he came and found he could not bring the sucsess many wanted including himself and offered his resignation because he's an honourable man.
We brought him back the second time when Rahic (remember him) thought he could be Phil Parkinsons assistant offering his wealth of football knowledge to Phil the rest is history, so as neither Rahic of Rupp knew where to turn they asked Julian for his advice , Juilan gave it and Stuart came in for his second stint at the club, Rahic commenting at the time the only knowledge with regards McCall was the video where he fell of the car after the celebrations on winning promotion to the Premiership.
McCall comes in and adds to the squad Parky had left, and I'll repeat they were very good players who gave McCall a good foundation to build on which he did taking us to Wembley a feat Parky couldnt do as a league one club, bearing in mind this was with continual input from Mr "I know football".
Then during that closed season we head rumours about Rahic wanting Stuart to walk away, backed at the time by Rupp, he refused and carried on even having several of his squad let go without any say.
Once again he works wonders with ths players still at his disposal, keeping us in a top 6/7 place even after that poor run just after Christmas/ New Year, that was the time Rahic pushed the players a little too far with his antics, he sacked McCall because he got the adulation of the fan's which Rahic thought he should have been getting.
We were now seeing Rahics true colours he brings in Grayson who see's right through him and says thanks but no thanks, after interviewing several top quality candidates he promotes Collins assisted by Drury and helped out by Abbott, what great appointments they turned out to be.
In comes Hopkin trying to get a tune from the squad tweddle dee and tweddle dumb had put together, failed and walked, Bowyer comes in with a decent CV failure yet again, so IMO Julian who is now back at the club brings McCall back and hoped for a new manager bounce which didnt happened we are now 7 games into a new campaign and some are calling for the managers head, I personally think it's a little premature but a defeat at Bolton I believe would add more pressure on Stuart, he has to start getting results or there is only the one concution and that will be he gets the push.
Is that clear enoug for you I'm sure it's a different interpretation than yours but I believe it to be fair comment.Click to expand...
