Has it worked at other clubs? Have the stay-away protests at Cov, Orient, Charlton, Blackpool etc forced their owners out?

They must be following the Tory model, then.

They would. But it will be interesting how many renew. Probably about 9-10k went on Tuesday night

    Pathetic....!

You do know that there is no guarantee that a club in Administration can actually exit again? So you want the club to have to start afresh like Hereford did????

Bronco, I may be wrong but where does the above comment suggest he’s backing the owners?

Park is correct in that the only thing to suffer, if fans stay away, is the budget for next season. Fans already unhappy with the quality of the squad built by cost-cutting. Imagine how bad we would be with even less money in the pot....!

I don't think being "unhappy with a squad" is the main concern nowadays.

Why not? Their fans are a lot happier nowadays compared to being shafted.

It will be when it takes us to back-to-back relegations and extinction.

Let’s be honest, if we were top of the league now, most fans would have excused most of the things Rahic has done. Of course the squad quality is a driving factor

So you’re also suggesting it would be a good thing to fold and have to start again in the 9th tier? Really?

I get that some want Rahic out by any means, but this goes too far in my opinion. Rahic is going to get this club relegated with his mismanagement. But you would be happier if we went bust instead and had to start from the bottom (effectively 5+ relegations)???? WTF

Relegation nor extinction bother me unduly, the former is coming, the latter never will. It's fear mongering, we will soon be a Division 4 club again, just like when I first started watching, I have no problem whatsoever in supporting a "new" Bradford City.

We can't be put in the 9th tier, clubs in there could not cope (economically) with us via the ground improvements required to host us, common sense would prevail. I would not be "happier" if we went bust, but nor am I that bothered. You are painting a worst case scare story scenario when as fans, we have more power than you imagine......if we use it.

Agree with a lot of your thoughts in recent posts.

I have no issue with supporting a reincarnated Bradford City, yes it would be shame, yes we should (and likely will) avoid that fate - but if it happens for whatever reason, there will be a new dawn, a new start, and someone eternally despised in the city of Bradford (whoever forces that re-start - and no, I won't ever include the fans in that category, even if fan action does catalyse a 'demise').

Other clubs have had to go through this kind of thing for various reasons; we'd get through just as they have.

I will continue to attend matches to support the team.

I believe the players need as much support as possible to avoid relegation this season and I think more and more people boycotting could be negatively counterproductive to performances on the field.

To be clear, I am very dissatisfied with the current owners. I will be happy to attend any demonstrations before or after matches. I just do not think boycotting will help the team in any way and the players need any potential help they can get at the moment to prevent ending up in the misery that is League 2.

There is becoming two sets of supporters, both of which are upset with the board, The first set are the one's that won't set foot in that ground again under the same board. And the second set are the one's that don't mind their football team being dragged through dog shit and disrespected and ruined as long as they are winning.

I think supporters are upset and angry. It is a terrible what is happening to our football team. There are no easy solutions, what is easy for one fan is absolute agony for another. In the past we have pulled the team through the dark periods and come out the other side victorious. So we have experience of doing that in our memory banks.

What we don’t have any experience of is deliberately abandoning the team, and leaving them to fend for themselves. Other teams have done it, but I think it is alien to our identity, remember Swansea, they were in the process of giving us a lesson in football, but we stood there to support the team, no walking out.

I think we should save the boycott until the last resort tbh. It is happening naturally the fans have taken Rahic advice and are not turning up. Come February/March time when season tickets go on sale or whenever they do, that really will be crunch time.

I'm all for not attending, that's my approach, but the best part of the Cov match was hearing the fans cheer O'Connors first goal. I heard hope in that. Desperate as it might have been, it was there. Its just such a pity we are so consistently shite.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I want. Funny as f*ck is this.

    FFS.

I see Guiseley bantams have tweeted that they’re hearing we’re trying to sell a young prospect to Huddersfield and that doing so is critical to ensuring the players get paid.

Things keep getting better. I swear we're gonna end up a feeder club in League 2.

I know I’m in the minority. (Possibly the only one.) but I think if we stick with the chairman they will come good. I feel they are determined to succeed. I think when they first got here we were doing well and they thought it was easy.
The past year is showing them it’s far from it.
Most on here were happy with the signings we got. Scannel, Payne, Doyle, Mellor, O’Connell, O’Donnell, Riley, Akpan.
I was optermistic about this season and I think quite a few on here were too.
It hasn’t worked and we are rightly angry. But taking it out on the owners will do nothing.
Yes i think Rahic needs to keep out a bit more but he does own the club and it’s not often the owner would keep out.
I don’t think we will be relegated this season and I think this is the season that Rahic really will lessen his lesson.
Sometimes it’s better the devil you know. If they do sell it could be to someone that wants to make money or someone that will run the club into debt.
At least there is evidence they care.
And before people say no I’m not a happy clapper and trust me when I say I am one of the worse for getting angry and after every game my emotions are high and I want to sack everyone at the club but after a day or two logic always brings me back to thinking it could be worse.
If a protest is what people want and everyone wants them out then so be it. I don’t necessarily think it’s the right way but just like brexit the majority stands if is for better or worse.
We are the club so we should be heard.
Can I suggest a protest that shows togetherness and strength of our club though.
We should try pack out the ground. Everyone bring as many people as they can.
Print out a red card for everyone and sing midland road. For the full game if we have to.
We need to attract a new buyer. ( a decent one.) preferably one that’s local.
I can’t see it happening but you never know. If I have the dough that would definitely get my heart string going and wallet open.
    Ps
Sorry about the length of the post.
