Said it time and time again, take the responsibility away from managers and CEO or whatever Julian is.
Get a proper scouting team appointed and let the manager go to them with a list of what he needs and what attributes he wants and then they produce a list. Can then narrow it down with budget etc.
if the manager does leave for any reason we have all the reports for the next manager. Manager can still have final say but that way we might cut out this utter scattergun approach we have to recruitment now. How much money have we wasted? The money is there for it

Is this one of the worst transfer windows ever?
Nothing suggests weve taken steps forwards. If it starts badly tomorrow I can only see a backlash from the fans. Am sooo disappointed with this city. It feels like the towel has been chucked in. This window could prove to be seminal for many people at city players staff and board.Fordy117, Super bantams, Lancashire Bantam and 3 others like this. -
And no doubt Park bantam (Chairman Mao) and banbrotam (Kim Jong Il) will put a hugely positive spin on this and tell us how fabulous this transfer window has been, and how 9-1-0 is the formation of the future.

If Bowyer throws a strop after a game when the fans are REALLY on his back, all the support and encouragement from Rhodes and Rupp won't stop him walking away.
Then where are we? Exactly as described above - far, far weaker, with no proven scorers on the books when previously we had two.Lancashire Bantam and How like this. -

City’s activity Seems to be the exact opposite of backing your manager....

To be fair you make it sound like it was all Bowyer's choice but it clearly looks like the deciding factor was ££££ not football.
No fan of Bowyer at the moment but this window was clearly being operated on a shoestring.thebantamhaslanded likes this. -
However if there are ‘issues’ in respect of his behaviour, could he become Doyle mark ll, i.e. someone who ‘turns up’ but doesn’t put his ‘heart’ into it.
May as well terminate his contract by mutual consent.Craven Cottager likes this. -

At least the defensive unit remains intact; now more than before though they need to maintain their goals-against pace of less than 1 per match, thanks to a midfield that remains problematic and a forward line that doesn't really inspire. It's a bit of a problem when, 30 matches into a season, "own goal" suddenly becomes your joint top scorer! Mid-table nonentityness seems more likely than not to be our fate this season.
