The more I've thought about this and the more it makes sense. Bowyer Should remove himself from first team affairs forthwith. It's a busted flush and he can learn nor gain anything more from it. Infact his continued involvement diminishes "His standing" with every game. So he should inform Rhodes that in the interests of the club and next season he's "taking gardening leave". In this time he spends every waking moment on formulating the plan for next season; meets agents and players and watches the current crop of misfits from "a distance". He meets Rupp & Rhodes and nails them down on the serious budget he needs to return the club immediately to League One.

I don't want to see Bowyer on the touchline again this season. He can offer no more the situation is lost. It would confirm his commitment and resolve to ensuring every thing is in place before we return for pre-season in just 12 weeks time. Bowyer has NO TIME TO LOSE !

Fans shouldn’t bother going to the remaining games. An empty stadium, could there be any more of a direct way of sending a message to this lot? Look, i know teams get relegated and yes, we should all support our club, but this lot i honestly feel there is nothing there. Literally nothing, no connection. The club is going through the motions, I wouldn’t blame anyone for just saying enough is enough, an absolute travesty of a season, embarrassing in every way. Good to see Rupp about the place though, showing his face while he runs our club into league two with a whimper. You own a club where things are going so wrong and yet are nowhere to be seen, well at least as far as I can tell.

I think he speaks for himself and Fordy.

Live too far north to be arsed.

I realise it won’t happen, and it’s easy for me to say in my position, but really the fans owe this lot nothing, and they owe everything. It’s a mess from top to bottom, how many fans can feel a real affinity with this team? Leave them and the owners in no uncertain terms how far below this season has fallen below what should be expected.

Quite the contrary ? Why is it not the most common sense thing for Bowyer to do given the monumental size of the task ahead. What more can he gain from spending anymore time on this hopeless task ..If he does it's not me who needs sectioning ? He's wasting valuable time which he can better spend on next season which is just 12 weeks away. He'll waste nigh on 4 weeks if he stays on first team affairs ! ? We got three other coaches and Bowyers message to this lot clearly is already spent. He should stand down from the first team temporarily to focus on next season. The club will benefit from that by giving us a head start. He could probably get 4 or 5 deals done in principal if he's as far on as he claims with agents and players. Plus go watch other targets in live games. Won't gain anything stood on that touchline from now to the bitter end ?

I wouldn't insult you by suggesting that what I have said is not clear to you. If you do need me to explain any of it by all means I will but I believe it's clear; common sense and helps Bowyer and ultimately the club. If you can give me anything that Bowyer can learn from continuing his hands on involvement over the last rights of this season. I'm all ears ?

My lad is mascot on bank holiday Monday.
Poor lad will be getting bood onto the pitch from a half empty stadium.
Not what I was expecting when I booked it at the start of the year.
Might try postpone it till next season, wonder if they'd let me do that.

Sorry, but just cannot get my head around the suggestion of Bowyer relieving himself of first team duties until the summer, its a bizarre concept.

There is not many clubs were two managers walk away from the job?Grayson and Hoppers, It must be really bad in there? Bowyer needs to be there to see how little some of the players don’t care or have such little talent.

Look I'm not Juilian Rhodes I don't do mundane and I think out side the box. I look in the margins for worthwhile advantage "gamesmanship" if you like ? I consider "radical" approaches. There is no advantage to Bowyer continuing to waste his time stood watching this lot play ?, He's proved with out doubt he cannot improve them or the situation. It is actually adding to the real possibility that if next season does not start he wIll need to be replaced. By stepping away now to focus all his energy into next season he gets a massive head start on his counterparts in League 2. We have the coaches in Todd, Drury and McElhone to limp through to the end. I'm not suggesting that Bowyer should go ? Quite the opposite I want him to call a moritorium on his hands on involvement. He has so many other more imporant things to set up for next season. Meet with Rupp Rhodes, sort the budget he needs, plan strategy, plan training for next season, pre-season, meet all the agents and players he has certainly had contact with and yes get deals done now that take immediate effect when the season ends. Next season is just 12 short weeks away and there is so so much that Bowyer needs to do and he needs a fair time to do that. We probably need a minimum of 12-14 players some in key leadership and "down the spine of the team" roles. I like Bowyer he's a "nice guy" so he needs to be given the time and the tools to do the job. Another month on the pitch and training ground with this shower is 4 weeks of the 12 wasted, He needs to step "upstairs" view from distance and gain some authority and take stock . in a "quasi Director of Football" role. It's plain business sense "micro management' clouds the mind and wastes valuable time and resources. Bowyer can do no more with the duff hand Rhodes has dealt him. He needs to adopt a "helicopter perspective" for now and come back with all his work done all guns blazing with everything just as he wants it for the start of pre-season.

Bowyer will learn far more in the dugout than the stands.

We have 4 games left. The pressure is now off and I believe we will see weak minded players now performing. It happens when mentality is wrong and this is what Gary will know. Recruitment / Mentality has been our downfall.

If Bowyer sat in the stands and we started producing he would be putting more pressure on himself as the manager for sure.

We play an in-form Coventry next but these are the games City win. Followed by Gillingham at home, a very poor Scunthorpe away and another winnable game at home against Wimbledon.

With the pressure off, I believe we will have something to cheer about (I know I know).

These players can't handle the pressure and I believe results will show this was the case. I would not, however, blame Gary for trying out the fringe players he is undecided on no matter the result. Next season is now key.
