    Those are the words of Gary Bowyer as we head into deadline day desperately scratching around for a quality centre forward to replace the two top scorers in League Two that we let go for - at best, with all clauses met - a combined £250,000.

    You see, for most clubs, top scorers from other teams are very expensive - that includes us.

    But if you're approaching Gary Bower's Bradford City, you can buy two for less than the required amount that his own club might need to replace even ONE of them.

    That's the business we've just done, ladies and gentlemen.

    Bowyer reckons he needed multiple transfer windows to right the wrongs of last season, and in only his second he has outlined exactly why he is not the man for that job. Sells two elite League Two forwards, can't afford to buy one himself.

    Get this clown out.

    No point getting him a striker, he doesn't have the faintest idea what to do with them so I suppose in the Bowyer bubble we don't need one. Meanwhile in the real world.....

    I feel something really odd is going on at the club, consolidating for playoffs perhaps it does smack of typical rhodes, lets hope we are proved wrong and at least two quality signings join today.

    I think this lays with Rupp and Rhodes more than Bowyer.

    The whole 'anything we do this week is in the interest of the club' statement is obviously about keeping the club afloat financially.

    I dont believe a word that comes out of our club. The whole Rupp and Rahic show has been a disgrace.

    They are backing a manager who is failing with a good budget, but they will not support him with more finances and they won’t sack him because it costs too much to replace him, the perfect storm. We have an owner who says he wants to put right Rahic destruction of our cllub, but then sits meekly by while we sell our assets.

    IF things turn sour today (I can't see it going any other way sadly) we've got a local away day tomorrow which is notorious to be a bit lively at the best of times, if the board thought Mansfield was bad I can't wait to see what they think of it tomorrow.

    But as that old cliche says..."Lets see what happens today and just get behind the board FFS"

    Well GB HAS had the money to spend..but he still has to show he can be trusted to get the right blend.Wouldn't say he has been too successful up to press. Rupp gets some stick but he isn't the one doing the spending.

    Who advised him to say what he said?

    He's completely contradicted the owners statement of earlier in the window.

    He'd have been far better saying nothing.

    I’d love to know our budget, everyone on hear seems to know it’s great. Luton’s was £4mil when they got promoted from this league, is ours near that?

    It doesn’t scream of a good budget when you sell your best 2 players and replace them with a kid, then the Will Grigg story comes out lol strain out of the Keiffer Moore hand book.

    I agree with Faithful here, this is a board issue. That money received for Doyle and Vaughan’s wages won’t be seen by Bowyer so it’s daft to blame him for this.

    But at least once he goes and our farce continues with those 2 clowns at the top people might wake up after the 10th manager that it’s the owner who needs to be first out of the door.
