Thanks for this. I did manage to find it in the end myself but appreciate it. On city instructions it just said go to live match centre but no mention where it was! I see it’s on the city home page now. Just hope it works!

 

As someone who has been using the service for years, here's my take on it.
The usual format for my Saturday on ifollow goes thus:

Charge home from wherever my Mrs has dragged me on a Saturday afternoon, knowing there's a game kicking off at 3pm.
Run through the door and turn on the laptop, which of course decides to go through its automatic updates.
Open iFollow and type in my password. Get a "wrong password/email" message and spend five minutes typing in various passwords until I finally remember the one I use.
Check watch, panic that it's two mins til kick off.
Search the page looking for the "Live Match" section.
Can't find it.
Eventually find it it in the "On the Pitch" First Team Fixtures" section.
Click on "Match Centre" and nervously wait for it to remember my details (I have now bought a season pass, as having to go through all the stress of putting card numbers, remembering which card I use, and trying to decipher the faded CVC number on the back was just too much for me).
One minute til kick off.
Huge wave of relief that the game comes up on the laptop (and marvel at modern technology that you can actually watch a live game of football - BRADFORD CITY! - on a computer.
Turn on TV in order to cast the game direct to it.
Press the "cast" button on the laptop.
TV/Laptop decides that there are "no devices".
Game kicks off.
Reset TV so that it can maybe find my laptop. TV/Android takes ages to reboot.
Try and cast again, this time with success, but no sound.
Stop casting and decide to watch game on laptop.
Decide to give one more chance to cast to TV.
This time it works perfectly.
Phone informs me that City are already one nil down.
Realise that iFollow is about three mins behind actual game.
Turn off notifications on phone.
Remember that there's a beer in the fridge that I was meant to get before kick off.
Go get beer from fridge and return to watch the goal that the oppo scored.
Kids come in and ask if they can watch Youtube on the main telly. I say no I'm using it, they ask if they can borrow my laptop, I say no I am using it. I say why don't you sit and watch City play instead of watching some guy play Fortnite, they laugh and disappear off to their bedrooms.
Sit and watch the game, making frequents visits to the fridge, until after about seventy minutes of the game gone, when its obvious we're not going to win, I start to browse Ebay or look at BBC Sport on the laptop (because you can do this when you're casting), and then visit this site to read the comments on our matchday section.
See GOAL!! from multiple users on our matchday section. Realise again I'm three minutes behind.
Turn off Bantam Talk and try and watch the last ten minutes of the match hoping we'll come back from three nil down.
We don't.
Realise I've now run out of beer and ponder about opening that bottle of wine I've got lined up for this evenings dinner.
Log back onto Bantams Talk and add my comments and opinion about the days game.
Do it all over again next match we've got.

Ha worked for me too! But when I put in my Estonian number (and it gave me the full list of country codes) it said "invalid phone number". So I made one up from the UK, and lo and behold, my name appeared in the top right corner!

 

Haha, that will be me today no doubt! How have you found the actual picture/camera quality?

 

Can you mirror screen Ifollow from your phone to a smart tv ?

 

Its got a lot better through the years. I'm lucky to have 100mb Ethernet connection at home, so I can stream the match in HD quality. But even without that, I've never had any problems (I've watched on my laptop with wifi if I am on hols or something). Good quality picture, decent camera angles, and now even has replays. As I wrote, it's one of those things you never stop marvelling - watching Bradford City live on the telly. I think it every time, even though i've been watching "live" for the past three seasons

 

You can't mirror from an iphone no. You need an Apple TV box to do that. Apple and Android don't talk to each other, and the ifollow app on an iphone doesn't seem to have a cast option (unlike YouTube for example). If you've got an Android phone, then they should be able to talk to each other.

 

It would be interesting to know the viewing figures after the game. Normally first round of carabo cup attendances are fairly poor, if it was at VP then I would expect no more than 4k to turn up, I imagine Bolton would be similar with possibly 3 to 4 hundred city fans attending.
The viewing figures for this will surely far exceed those predicted attendances, could be a record attendance for first round of carabo cup!

I think he may go with Ismail at RWB. Whatever, it's a farce that we start the season with no right back in the squad, a few months after releasing 3 right backs, not that I don't disagree with releasing those 3

 

Sounds like it should be ok, my internet connection is good and can connect via Ethernet to my laptop rather than wifi. Could you connect direct from smart tv?

Would be great if there was an EFL iFollow app on Google Play. Would make things so much easier. Don't know why they don't do it.

 

Does yours already have the "listen now" "watch now" option on it? It used to appear about half an hour before the game kicked off, but now I am thinkig it's not there because I am outside of the UK and I don't have these options (although I thought I was allowed to listen to it).

 

Got to be 3 at the back hasn't it?

It's farcical to not have a right back. Even if whoever it was wasn't that great at least they'd be a recognised right back.
