Does anybody know what time Stuart is doing the draw for the formation?

Bolton were woeful and the league table doesnt lie we needed two goals to win and we got Zero. We lost.

5 points off relegation, 13 points off top.

Club has failed to replace Vaughan and Doyle despite the soundbites just where are the goals coming from this season.

 

We had 2 shots on target all match and one was from the spot . You simply don’t win football matches with them sort of stats

 

So from the comments on this thread we're not really interested in promotion or an I reading it wrong? I wish they'd have told me this when I handed my season ticket money over.

 

My ifollow is weird. Seems to work ok whenever Bolton have the ball but whenever we have the ball our players seem frozen and the ball doesnt go where it's supposed to go.

 

I’d have had more respect for the club if they came out and admitted that with the uncertainty of COVID, we have a plan to be financially prudent, focusing on giving our younger players a chance for this season and with a review in a few months. Because IF we’ve chosen the limit ourselves to what we have in this squad and there’s money available that’s genuinely gone unspent, then its a disgrace.

 

I fear that this tenure may break him more than either of the previous 2.

I love the bloke. I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have success with. But I also can’t think of anyone else I’d less like to see at the helm with everything going tits up.

 

Just to add some perspective Bolton were woeful in the second half yet still had chances to extend their lead. A draw would have been a fair result but there are glaring gaps in this squad that should have been evident to any manager worth his/her salt. If those gaps had been taken care of before the season started we wouldn't look half as bad as we do.

 

I've just listened to Stuart's pre match ramble on Radio Leeds and he's talking about simplifying things and making it easier for the players so that everyone knows their roles. Has the penny finally dropped?

 

I knew it, his pen last week was such a poor one, amazed he scored it.

Ryan Sparks has been very quiet on Twitter the past few days. After McCalls admission they were never aiming for top 3 and Sparks to come out berating fans not buying Ifollow passes you can probably say he's been caught with his pants down. Oh and the 9000 people that bought season tickets thinking it will help us with keeping the club alive and pushing for promotion, but little did we know they were never arsed about getting this club where it should be. I can safely say tonight is the angriest I've ever been a City supporter.

 

This interviewer is good. I don't like hearing our manager stumbling over his words, or backtracking, but what I do like is that its not just arse licking because he's a club legend, and is not allowed to be questioned in a negative way. If things aren't going to plan, then he should be called up about it. Quite right.

 

Do we see the issue? Even in a "good" performance the stand out performers are in the back line.

Creative midfielder making chances? Direct winger causing them issues? Strikers pulling their defenders to shreds?

Nah, but we have got a left centre half who can carry the ball quite well. Wheres my debit card for that ifollow purchase?

 

Never in a million years did we 'batter them'. The only save their keeper had to make was from the penalty. A young keeper, publicly slated by his manager at the weekend and we put him under next to no pressure all night.

We had lots of the ball and the game was played in their half; it was obvious that their game plan having taken the lead, was to sit deep with 2 banks of 4, playing on the break. Safe in the knowledge that our team has no creativity or goal threat whatsoever. That's not us battering them, that's the opposition happily ceeding ground. And if Crawford could finish they'd have had a couple more in the second half because despite our possession, they still had the clearer chances. Rick Parry and 'the Bolton people' think we'd have won if the penalty had gone in? That's based on Bolton themselves being low in confidence and quality, it's no vote of confidence in our ability. In fact, it says everything that playing against a team as poor and lacking as Bolton that we still couldn't score or even look like scoring.

This is the worst Bardford City squad I can remember for the last 30 years. Its lacking in just about every department it could be, it's been lazily assembled to no plan whatsoever, what little resources of quality we have are being mismanaged through constant changing of systems and line ups, and the only thing that will prevent us from being relegated is the fact that the standard of this league is so good awful, and circumstances of covid are such that there'll be 2 worse teams. But not many more than 2.

The only player we have with any attacking quality is Hossanah. A young loanee right back making only his 2nd start in league football. Even with the challenges the sport is facing into, this club is an utter shambles from top to bottom. It's fundamentally broken and needs completely rebuilding under a capable and supported CEO and manager. None of which should be Rhodes, McCall or Sparks.
