Well the apathy on here is clear. No match thread for the meeting of the 2 biggest clubs in the division. :innocent:

I really cannot see us getting anything at all from this.

It's got a Doyle hat trick written all over it.

Still cannot decide whether to watch it on ifollow or not. If I do it will be with Bolton commentary as Kiwomya is no way on this earth an "expert summariser".

Does anybody know what time Stuart is doing the draw for the formation?

Can't wait to emerge from this period of all round gloom. Can the lads buckle down and can they be "Managed" to turn the corner? Most of us are sceptical, but we are desperate to be proven wrong..so once again over to you Stuart and give us leadership on the field and more to the point, from on the touch line.

Their manager is getting pelters from Micah Richards for telling the young goalie to "man up".
Thought Doyle was out with an injury from Saturday's match.

    Bolton to win 5 nil.

Changes to the shape every 10 minutes throughout the game..
McCall will still be clueless as to why his team of square pegs in round holes hasn't won let alone scored.

I've just listened to Stuart's pre match ramble on Radio Leeds and he's talking about simplifying things and making it easier for the players so that everyone knows their roles. Has the penny finally dropped?

Yup, know the limitation of your squad and the level of league 2 football, then use that to create a formation that will get the most out of the potential you have. As players if you feel something isn't working you're gonna have to stand up and say so.

    We can but hope mate.
I'd like us to play the way he wants us to but he needs to wake up to the fact we haven't got the players. Last time he was here we had the likes of Cullen, Marshall, Law and Clarke. Players who were comfortable on the ball and could keep possession. Yes we had a lot of draws but they weren't many boring nil nils, and we weren't as open at the back as we are now, better players.
I think Cullen is at Marco Sas's old club NEC Breda now.

Not bothering tonight. I'll have a look on here to see how we got on later on but I'm planning a night off from the abject misery this particular group are bringing me. Life has enough doom and gloom on the telebox at the minute without this lot frustrating and annoying me further.

The bit implying that matching up systems always ended up in a stalemate made me laugh.

Ita good to hear though, maybe a moment of clarity. Hopefully prioritising flexibility over players that can play one role well in our recruitment hasn't made this more difficult than necessary.

Not really. Clearly it doesn't help but I've endured more than my share of that watching them over the years. It's just a culmination of everything really and watching on telly on my own doesn't hold much interest.

Football for me is about the social occasion, meeting friends and a few beers. Seeing new grounds and the experience of the day out. Of course the result matters but not as much as seeing friends and socialising. Now covid has put a stop to watching live I've found my self drifting away from all football a bit and finding other stuff to occupy my time. I can't honestly say I enjoy it any more or any less than the football but I also can't honestly say I'm missing anything by not watching.
