McCole and Stokes were a good pairing.Stokes mainly on the wing but both
scored regularly, but in those days any player we had that showed quality
didn't stay when bigger clubs got interested.The money never seemed to be
used for strengthening,just keeping the wolf from the door financially.Park bantam, The Original EB and Bronco like this. -

Has to be Mills and Blake. They did it at a much higher lever than Hanson and Wells too. And then having Beags on the wing getting into double figures too.

It's got to be Campbell and Hawley for me, without that strike partnership City would have not achieved that promotion in 1985 and the success that followed.

Mills and Blake without doubt for me. I enjoy the occasional re-run of the Chelsea cup win but the Wolves promotion game still sends shivers down my curved spine.
