Turning to the point about blooding young players in the senior game, I caught an interview with the manager of Rochdale last night on Radio 5. They've brought through a few youngsters who show promise. One of the studio pundits asked the RFC boss how playing behind closed doors affected these young lads compared to playing in front of a crowd.

He replied that he thought it aided the players as they feel more at home playing in empty stadiums and less pressure than if they were playing in front of the paying public.

It'll be interesting to see if some of the promise Finn C-D and Staunton have shown is affected by a return of fans?
