And I’m as pissed off about that as anyone else but what I’m saying is be careful what we do as certain actions could make things very much worse unless anyone can convince Rupp to invest while we are still an EFL league club

 

The only time Rupp invested was to cover for what he let Edin do and don’t forget he took that back out of the mcburnie money if I remember correctly so what’s he been since and your hoping that someone can convince him to start investing now I won’t be holding my breath that is for sure if he wanted to do this club a favour is for him to sell up not put an alleged stupid price against it then ignore the club

 

And do we honestly think that mass boycotting will force him to sell up cheap?

 

It might wake him up to the fact that we are on a downward spiral and could lose more than just a few fans

 

The very real threat of that happening is all the fans have right now to effect change. If Rupp realises his asset is rapidly going down the pan he will want to get rid asap or take a huge loss and we go bust. Looking at the poll on here up to a third of adults are saying they won't renew their ST. That's approx. 5,000 fans. Say only 3,000 actually don't renew that's a huge chunk of revenue lost for maybe two or more seasons. £198 x 3000 = £594,000

The malaise at the club is angering many. Why should people invest into a club that has openly admitted it can't afford to go anywhere. GA is not a miracle worker. We can all see with our own eyes what quality (or lack of) we have in the squad. Unless significant investment is made by Rupp we are treading water at best in the shittest league imaginable. What a thoroughly demoralising thought.

Ah, you are getting the gist of the recent fan uprising. Putting direct pressure on him will not be comfortable for him at all. We want him to wake up out of his slumber and take action either invest in his asset or sell to someone who wants to. It is as simple as that. If neither happen I fear the club will peter into non league and god knows from there.

 

Depression has definitely set in after listening to the Radio Programme the other night. As you say what is the point. We have missed loads of home matches and we haven’t been to any away matches. I am not in the habit of throwing money away. It is worse than admin x 2.

 

It’s ok when we move to Harrogate hubby can go to football whilst you enjoy an afternoon tea at bettys I can guess who will be the most miserable

For me currently it feels like an all time low in my 38yrs going to watch City, yes I know within my period we've been lower in the league than this and if I remember correctly had a much worse squad than this then, but If my memory is correct that is when the cheap STs were introduced and boosted our attendances massively along with every ones enthusiasm and as a result we had some short term success riding the wave, but unfortunately that ships sailed as we failed miserably to kick on to the next stage from there, and now as a result no cheap ticket price is going to make a scrap of difference, nothing but results on the field from here on in is the only thing that's going to get the wavering support back on side.

I don't expect people to watch 2 hours of another clubs forum but here's the difference between an owner that actually gives a shit to one that doesn't. Explaining to the fan base what they are trying to do in the short, medium and long term. No guarantees in football but as fans all we ask is that the fans are treat with dignity and respect.

There is a huge difference between a fans forum like this and a comparable one at BCAFC.

They “say” they are willing to “ invest” that’s totally different to sitting down in front of a large group and saying you “ won’t invest any further”.

Did you get a sense of naivety?

Perhaps I’m misreading the room, however if they are prepared to throw dollars at it then it might pay off, but progression won’t come cheap and sustained by attendance levels? Good luck to them.

 

I'll be honest I saw no further than a family from abroard trying to make one in with the local community (well as local as Kendal can be). They've shown more ambition in the short time they've been at the club then Rupp has done in his tenure at Valley Parade. It might well not work but I choose to applaud a guy and his family taking a risk by moving over here to a Northern outpost with a view to changing the fortunes of club apparently badly run for years.
