We will struggle when pressed at the back as we are slow and predictable in possession. Thought Young did ok injecting pace and energy, but way off what I expected result wise from our first 2 games.

I did mention it will take a while to get so many players to gel. Forget them having a few extra weeks pre season, mean absolutely nothing. I did also say that Chapman isn't a wide player, more of a support player. And we still haven't replaced Vernam or Periera which means we don't do what we did well in the last three games of last season. Also with moving Angol wide.weve negated a lot of what we started to do well in April and May. A long long way to go but just looks a disjointed mess at the moment.

 

They have 5 games to sort it out before I seriously start moaning. Why can’t we play 442? Keep it simple or at least have it in our arsenal. I do think we look undercooked which is why I will give them a couple more games.

No pace something we thought we had in abundance this season Angol, Oliver we both poor but our defenders were worse.

Are we going to take the hull game seriously as we need a performance preferably with a win, struggled to crack a 10 man defence down against Doncaster and pull the game back to 2 - 2 the momentum should be with us the commentators on the game were saying Bradford could go on and win it but to lose it is very poor man management of the game.

 

Dreading tuesday, got a ticket but I wouldn't even want to witness it on Sky either, dire, dull as ditchwater, where are these new creative fit, commited players we are suppose to have ?

 

Actually the more i think about it the angrier i get. Vernham and Pierra gone and Eisa out before a ball is kicked, Osadibe out after 6 minutes of the season . We have all week to bring someone in and we do nothing. Lets throw Gillead straight in after injury, who i think is a poor player anyhow and Chapman is very average from what i have seen. Harrott stupidly gets himself sent off after the final whistle last week to compound it all.
I am not happy tonight. Watched city for over 45 years and for 90% of that time , we just get it wrong.

Sounds like Walker could be out for 2 months. Another big blow to compound the miserable start to the season

Same here mate. Tested positive on Thursday for my first time. Certainly knocks the stuffing out of you doesn't it, and listening to that hasn't helped!

I think the stats tell you that some of our possession is pointless possession - however, we've got pretty much a brand new side and that's a legacy of the club's mismanagement over the last few years.

We knew it wasn't going to be easy to replace 7, 8 or 9 starters and get off to a flyer.

I'm disappointed today; we've gone from 22 efforts against Doncaster to 4 at Barrow. That is the very epitome of inconsistency, but that's something we can improve.

That should level out in time, and we need to be creating double figures worth of chances every game. Some of that will mean certain players need to be far more direct and actually shoot on sight more.

But we were without Walker, Eisa, Osadebe, and we're still relying on some very average players.

This rebuild will take time.
