Bantamtalk's Flyover Protest via JustGiving

I agree @JonButterfield. Resistance and protest takes time to form into a cohesive movement. Yes of course some fans will not like it, it feels strange and they are uncomfortable. However, running alongside that fans are anxious and angry that it has come to this. Yet they know, efforts to try and change Rahic plan have come to nothing and here we are.

The one thing that stifles this kind of resistance is ppl wanting to put limits on what can and can’t be achieved. What you can and can’t do. Let it happen in all it formats, put some loose boundaries round it which SOC1903 has done and let’s see where it goes.

 

Well done to Jon and Nick, it will send a clear message to the owners.

There’s a few national press commenting on the club. Jon Would any of them be interested in a behind the scenes on the fly past? Like on the flight if that’s allowed. An insight and enable them to take images from within. Would carry more resonance? Help them carry the message? Just a thought. If 15 mins is the flying time get it to do 10mins over vp and 5 mins over his house. Just in case the coward still hasn't turned up

You know what guys I really don't care if others disagree I am proud that @JonButterfield and @Nick_W_ started the ball rolling and 60+ normally passive Bradford City have taken up the first challenge of trying to change things at Valley Parade.
I'm against staying away at this present time but if I don't see or believe the owners are keeping to their word I can see myself boycotting home games, those who are still attending take your own drinks and food with you don't purchase anything at the club.
On a final note this protest has cost me £10 and on the day of the game the fly bye happends I will have a smile on my face knowing my contribution hopefully helped show the owners my club is more than just a place to gather and shout for 11 men dressed in Claret & Amber for 90+ minutes it has very much been a big part of mine and my families life for over 60 years.

 

We need the likes of Die Zeit being made aware they might send someone over to do a follow up on the original article, and maybe get the owners take on how it came to this after the first 16/17 months of their tenure when we had been in the top 6 for the majority of that time.
We need as much media exposure as possible even given some apathy that its old hat.

 

Just a thought... has the Portsmouth game been confirmed? With it been Saturday 3rd, alot of people will surely be doing their bonfire celebrations that night, so depending on the time of the flyover, and with the darkness falling at around 4 o clock, the plane company might have to factor in health and safety issues with regards to fireworks? They don't fly at a high enough altitude to be fully clear of these, just a thought?

 

Bradford City is in my blood , i will decide on a week to week basis on matchday attendence . That is a statement i thought i would never make , during the season holidays etc take a back seat for my " fix " at VP , but not anymore .I look around me from my seat in the Kop rows off empty seats -- people who i class has match day friends not there , North parade that used to have a vibrant matchday atmosphere all being slowly erroded . This is why i felt the need to standup and be counted , will it make a difference ? ----only time will tell , but it carn't make it any worse . I can understand why some dont want to get involved , but i'm not going to stand by and watch my club die without trying to change it's current downward spiral .

 

I think we should, that way everyone gets their say, but we must abide by the whatever comes top. However, we might not have time.

 

I agree can everything be done before the Portsmouth game just 7 days away.
