    Ask yourself this. Which quality players, are actually going to want to come to City, if the wage structure doesn’t offer an incentive, the fans are either abandoning the club and/or making it a very hostile place to play in and we are in the relegation zone? Name names!

    Lets hope you're correct, and we are still in a position to climb out of the bottom 4 because as you know bringing new faces in and getting them to gel quickly is not always possible.
    I used to be a very possitive poster with regards our club but these two guys have knocked a bit of the stuffing out of me ( along with many more) so maybe I respond a little negativly in hope that if these signing ETC do materialise and they show there ability then bronco will be a happy punter again

    So why aren’t they addressing the fans directly? If they have decided to invest in January, why aren’t they telling us? Why aren’t they talking to the fans about the abysmal league position? Why aren’t they backing the manager and the players and telling the fans they will do everything in their power to keep this club in league 1? Having a quick chat and implying funds might be available is hardly talking to the fans. I don’t trust them, but plenty still do, and would welcome some leadership.

    Fair comment with regards numbers but even on here you have ( better not accuse them of being happy clappers) posters who still believe in the way the owners are taking the club, we dont know how many of the "lurkers" feel the same way.
    I'm with you with regards a plane and banner we know it has been done in the past and I'm sure the banner message would not be breaking any laws or the company would not fly it if it did, a simple, Edin & Stefan please go, or as was suggested by @Nick_W_@Nick_W_, Edin Out.

    Lovely sentiment, but protests like the ones being discussed have worked at places like Charlton, while boycotts like the one you suggest didn't work at Blackpool.

    Lets stop pretending all owners are the same.

    We need to try various options to find out what buttons are best to press. There isn't one simple answer. In some cases there doesn't even appear to be an answer full stop.

    We can't use bad examples as a reason for not trying things.

    Don't forget Rupp too. Which brings me to this one; organise the banner to fly over some obscure (to us) German racetrack where Rupp and his team will be competing. That would get them some unwanted publicity at home too.

    I think the big thing now is the multiplicity of outlets to vent anger. Mainly fueled by the same outlets giving a platform to air things. I mean, can you imagine Bob Martin getting an easy ride these days?

    Surely the only useful protest would be to find an alternative (e.g. a buyer or group of buyers) and then go public with an offer and get the fans behind that bid.

    Otherwise you’re just trying to hound out the owners with no actual succession plan.

    I think with the plane banner, it would be important to keep quiet what home game is selected for it. Just a few posters who organise it communicate privately.

    The last thing we would want is to spend all that money and for Edin to bottle it and not turn up.

    Why would they announce in an open way to all other football league clubs they are spending money in January?

    They would be very naive and stupid to do that. Every club would add 100k on their asking prices if they know we have say 1 million to spend. Hopkin has already stated he is working on targets. That’s enough for me to know he much have an idea of his budget. Hopkin is the one who needs to know. Not you or I.

    Back when you were in PL. I spent about 10 years going to most Farnborough Town home game though and I attend Crewe matches from time to time as they are the closest league team to where I live now, so I'm not exactly clueless about lower league football. Before going Self Employed I’ve worked for local companies as well that sponsored the local team, sometimes the owner being a fan, other times not but in both casss there has always been a business reason at the heart of it not just a fan based decision
