I can categorically say that I’d respect Bowyer more for having a good go.
However, I will 100% call for his sacking if he goes to defend, bores our fans rigid and still loses the game.
Does that fully explain my position ?

An excellent result for us, although gutting to not win it at the end. Another 10 / 15 mins and we win that. Fine margins in football, Shay played a vital role in both games v Swindon.
Will be an interesting Jan that's for sure. Recall Doyle and our chances of promotion shoot up and Swindons fall significantly, we have to use that to our advantage.
Been supporting the club for nearly 20 years and we are on course for our highest finish, winning the league is absolutely within reach

That's a very fair post. Away from the heat and emotion of match day battle, I recognise the need for managers to have time to shape their side. And I absolutely recognise the mess that Bowyer inherited - it's easy to dismiss the amount of repair work he needed to do behind the scenes.

Good point about CDM. We dont have a midfielder who can tackle. Reeves and Palmer are very similar and both sit deep, but neither really 'protects'. I'm interested to see what Boywer does this January to further shape the side into his image.

 

If your going to get one last chance in a game from a free kick I'd suggest that's about as good a place as any to get one, bang in the middle of the area and far enough out for McCartan to get it up and down, superb delivery from the lad.
