No…far better than Hiwula. Lots stronger and better ball control imho.
If only he could arrange to aim between the posts and not 6 inches the wrong side, he’d be a really decent player.

He does lots of good work outside the box.
When in it seems to panic or make wrong call.

Agreed. If he added goals to his talent he wouldnt be in L2 though.

We have a series of players who are good on the ball but who need to add more goals. Cooke who’s general play is very good needs to keep getting into that penalty area and take his chances the same with Gillead and Angol who have quality on the ball. And we will shortly have Lavery who let’s hope brings his shooting boits

It was right in front of us. The forest defender took the ball before angol went over. If it was against us I would have gone nuts.

Danny Cadermateri was like that too. Lethal til he got anywhere near the 18 yard box, then his legs turned to jelly.

If Angol keeps doing the right thing and stays fit he will score goals he needs that first one to help his confidence he hit a nice long range effort last night that the goalkeeper saved.
How did Cook play last night hardly heard him mentioned

Which position and what would quality mean in those positions to you?

Cook was quiet, Angol seemed to be the out ball as we looked to use his pace.

Not really read through the thread so apologies if this has been said already. The atmosphere from the city support was bouncing. Really glad I went and saw that performance, you would have thought we were a recently promoted championship side! proud of that team and the support. Got another stadium ticked off too.

it will be a mystery if we don't go up!

Agree. Cook looked a horses for courses league 2 striker compared to the movement we saw from forest up front. It’s not the game to judge him in though. His strengths are in the battles that are league 2 football.

It will be a massive anti-climax if it’s a 0-0 bore draw that’s for sure!!

We played really well and should have won etc..... it bodes well they had millions of pounds on the pitch and lots of talented kids out there and we competed. Fordy is correct that we need to nick a premier league loanee like Northampton have done from Spurs................. we will go up I am sure of it Just need a goalscorer .. we have moaned for years about pace and we have that. 180 degree Angol will come good its all about confidence..

I have liked the look of Angol and what he brings to the team. That said, his record suggests we will be doing well to get 10 goals out of him here. The only time he scored double figures was in non league for Boreham Wood. He’s 27 so can’t see him suddenly improving his finishing now.

That said, if Cook smashes in 20, 10 for Angol would be a great return collectively.

He’s started well and hope he keeps on justifying his place in the side.

A first league goal to break the duck for us will do him alot of good psychologically. He's had an in and out time with injuries over the last couple of seasons which must have knocked his confidence, but clearly has alot of talent and ability.
