Yes another club in serious risk.

I know there are loads of factors to build in to the demise of clubs and potential demise of clubs but there is a MASSIVE gulf in the 92 clubs since the PL was introduced. They only look after themselves these days despite what they say. 1 top PL player could go without their wages for 1 week and keep the club alive, that's the gulf!! But then the Nevilles could have kept Bury alive surely?

Been fairly busy so missed Plymouth game and still not seen the highlights yet. Hopefully we can bounce back and get 3 points v the Silkmen.

Still find it strange how Bowyer hasn't played to any of our strikers strengths yet and we are 17 games in.

A decent win at Macclesfield and we could go third after tonight's results, it's in our own hands.

Can't believe there wasn't a goal scored between those sides.

Fortunately for us, despite the loss at Plymouth, we're back to the point where if we win our games in hand, we're likely top.

Strange position to be in when some are dissecting results and Bowyer's tactical nous.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that 'those' sides treated their game as a 'must not lose' encounter.

    A few reasons.

Main reason is Bowyer's negative boring approach in style of play for this deadful league and when it's going wrong him seems to lack any conviction that he knows what he's doing.

We've games in hand not points on the board. As much as we are 2 wins from going top we are 2 defeats from being midtable.

Losing to Plymouth just lets them be closer to us.

Now I am not saying we should be 10 points clear at the top but Bradford City are becoming painful to watch. I feel for Vaughan because he's been wasted at this moment.

I think saying City are becoming ‘painful to watch’, is Over The Top!

I would go with the term‘Unpredictable’ for sure.

The main difference between Premiership and Lower League teams is that their players do not make as many mistakes.

At the moment we make too many mistakes, but it could and should improve as the team develops its style of play, we get some players back from injury and we get a striker in January!

    I don't want to see my main forward playing as a 8, 7, 11, 10 and 9.

    Our midfield lacks creative flair.

    Negative tactics

    Our defence isn't solid enough.

Manager struggling to know what he's doing

    All becoming painful mate.

I assume pay on the day will be available? Can't see flocks of fans wanting to go watching Bowyer replace our 'goal threats' with defenders when needing a goal.

I have to agree some of Bower decisions are strange to me but he is the man getting paid to make these decisions he is the proffesional and I am just a normal fan,but Mellor for one seems to always get minutes under his belt and does not seem to impact the game for the minutes he gets, not sure if that contributes to extra appearance money rather than just squad money, Akpan is another for me that’s is not mobile enough for this div, sure he might have improved on previous games early on but when you compare him to the likes of past midfielders we have had like Jones/ Law and Cullen and many more he is miles away, maybe Reeves might be the answer but he will certainly need to show his true capabilities because City have certainly not seen the best of him yet.

We can sign as many strikers in January as you want
But unless we play to their strengths it wont make any difference
Vaughan would have scored at least double this year
Even the return of the Mercurial Doyle wont have any effect
    unless we do
both the above need the service facing goal and a striking partner
    Cant see it happening

Hi Fordy. Have to agree with your piece here. I think Bowyer knows what he is doing, it's just the likes of you and me don't like his approach to games and I for one feel we should play on the front foot more and let the opposition worry about us.

Where I was sat on Saturday everyone was furious about Bowyer taking Oteh off when we are 2 NIL DOWN!

They were also moaning about Vaughan, something I had a go at them about. The guy was working his nuts off, he shouldn't have to be doing all that work, we aren't getting the best out of him because he is having to do the work others should be doing.

Also if Reeves is fit and has had no reaction to his last runout (when I asked him a few days ago he said he felt fine), then he should be staying games now. He is our most mobile midfielder and probably our best, certainly the nearest we have got to a Gary Jones or Josh Cullen.

We have to be better and certainly more consistent to get out of this league. One the reasons I feel we need to improve is something you won't agree with me on and that is because League Two is NOT pants. A lot of the football is better than I expected something which is shown every time we switch off.
All the foreign imports in the Premier League AND Championship means that a lot of home grown players have drifted down through the system, even through to the leagues below us.

Big game this. Should we win and put in a good performance, you can look at Plymouth as a blip in terms of results and a needed kick up the arse in terms of performances.

Win unconvincingly and we'll be asking the same questions about whether we can keep it up.

Lose and the criticism of Bowyer will get louder.

As this is the only game in League 2 on Saturday, it gives the players a great opportunity to put right the wrongs from Plymouth Argyle and make ground on the clubs above them.Three points would be huge hopefully GB will get both the team & tactics up to speed to win this game and up the league we go!

    It's a massive game mate.

Lose and we will be putting far too much pressure on home game and fans will start turning.

I also felt Bowyer was a gutless appointment. A weak appointment by Rhodes but he has the CV but needs to show more now as Blackpool was ages ago.. we need to but a run together now!

Absolutely imperative that GB steps up to the plate and shows his credentials for the job he was brought in to do for us. He has to demonstrate he is able to engineer a performance which not only shows improvement, but a selection which allows quality to surface. Certainly needs to get his tactics right and return to a more combative up and at 'em approach. 3 points is not just about desire on Saturday, it's a requirement and a signpost for the near future positioning table wise.

Rhodes decided to give him a two year contract on the back of failure. Unable to keep us up and poor results.

You're spot on mate. Now surely is the time Bowyer has to show his credentials for this job.

He's making so such hard work out of this.
