It was a poor performance with IMO Zeli offering little, we can talk formations all day but he was asked to play on the right of the 4 midfield and support the front two, which he failed to do, not play as a defensive midfield player, having said that the second half effort after losing ACO and then POC the remaining 9 have to be given some credit for their dogged defensive display.

 

Yes, he talked about players leaving or going out on loan although I didn't connect it to mean that some need to go out for others to come in.

 

From what I remember of what he said, it could also be interpreted that the respective clubs of the players we are interested in might be waiting on incoming players arriving before they are prepared to let the one we want go.

 

Well he is flying in training, shit in matches but in training [that finger pinching thing Italian people do to indicate perfection].
I’ll give Guthers his due, he’s got skilful feet. Positional sense of a goat on crack but his feet are good.

 

They both flatter to deceive. Lots of fast legs, but total lack of end result. Ismael looks like he's carrying a bit of extra weight too. After his first couple of games, I was quite excited, as he looked like he enjoys taking a fullback on, but then he got injured and I forgot about him. The player this season is not a patch on those first two games. He now looks like he prefers to come inside rather than go outside the fullback. Totally pointless. DMH more of the same.

 

As I said earlier in season In Another thread surely Ismail is one to be released at the end of the season if he carries on. Always injured and offers nothing when he does play

 

A test of character, even this early. FGR are the epitome of a solid, unspectacular but effective L2 side.

I don't think there'll be much in it, but I expect a defeat, simply because I don't think we'll do the basics well enough defensively, and I don't trust either Novak or Guthrie to put away the 1-2 chances we'll create.

I remember screaming at my TV until nearly 2.00am (kick off time here midnight) for someone, "anyone" to go the FG keeper who kept walking the ball well outside his penalty area and try to get the ball off him.... it was so painful to watch, apparantly Bowyer told I strikers not to which was about right for him!

 

i remember that game. It was completely bazaar. We allowed him to walk with the ball almost upto the half way line.

Gone 2-0 Forest green on prediction league. An established side at this level now forest green. Consistent with same manager too who knows what it takes.
We are toothless and don’t create much either if last couple of games are to go by. Players confidence may be short after mid week too
