We could benefit from Anthony O'Connor being sent off.

Will give Staunton and Paudie a chance to play together at the back and I feel they'll do much better than Mr Shouty / Mr Reverse into my penalty area.

Staunton, Paudie and Wood at the back should be 3 of our back 4 next season.

Now, if only we had a right back.

FGR are a disgrace. How can a set of thugs like that be allowed to call themselves a football team? They were awful last year at our place and no better this year.

 

There's a touch of irony there, because if you look at that performance, there were far more negatives than positives. A draw after 2 sending off, away from home? Anyone would take that. And we showed some spirit. But both sendings off were moronic, and more worringingly, both guilty parties are garbage players. We showed no quality going forward, we still defended just as badly from set pieces, and any half decent side would have tucked us away even before the red cards.

This team, and this club, are bang in trouble.

 

Can somebody tell me what Ismail offers?Surely cooke or Pritchard would have been a better option.
While a draw with 9 men is positive they missed a penalty and we did well to hang on.
The first half when it was 11v11 was absolutey dire. McCalls selection was bizarre.
I've no idea who's going to play in defence next week but at least it's not boring.

Ive questioned you on your take on McCall, today you have every right to question that line up. That was hanging players out to dry today, FFS play players in their favoured positions. This is league 2, no need to complicate things for average footballers.

 

Where to start with a game like that. Even by Stuart's standards an utterly bizarre team selection followed by an utterly bizarre game. Guthrie an utter waste of space. How was he on the pitch ahead of Cooke or Pritchard?Two totally unprofessional decisions by the two O'Connors. After his mistake AOC should have just let his man go and POC should never have got involved. But then quite heroic defending that really deserved to come away with a win. Very poor game, very much like non-league, but full of incident. Where we go in the next few games God only knows. We've no pattern, not many players and precious little to be optimistic about.

 

Both FGs goals were our mistakes, both ours the same. It’s league 2 we’ll see it most weeks.

 

Was working this pm but if we had 2 sent off and Ismael, Watt, Clarke and Guthrie were ineffective or missing SOMEONE must have had a decent game as it was 5 v 11 (12 with the ref!)

 

As others have said it was a poor performance with next to no positives.

On the ball it was the wrost we've been this season. Ball retention non existent and we resorted to lumping it at every opportunity, which would've been ok if we had some pace to run in behind. But we don't, so it made no sense.

Formation and subsequent square pegs in round holes made no sense and the players looked completely clueless in it. 4 players out of position by choice and not necessity is ridiculous.

Honestly we didn't look like scoring. Two howlers from the keeper resulted in our two goals. May have scored twice but the obvious lack of quality and ideas going forward were there for all to see yet again. Paudie's header first half was the only chance we created. I suppose you could say Watt's shot leading to the goal was a chance creation but thats pushing the reality to the extreme.

Still 3 or 4 real quality players short to even think about challenging.

 

But we knew this before we appointed him again. It's what he always does. And it never works. Why is anyone surprised?

 

I worry about McCall I really do. Look, I love him and always will but I understand why Rhodes go him in even though it was LAZY but it was the fans forum that scared me when he was talking about recruitment and formations.

He seems like a manager that is kind out trying to prove he is a good manager without understanding that good manager just let other managers worry about them.

I want it to work for McCall but I am concerned. He needs to relax! It's like he doesn't believe in the club anymore and it's a job to him. I don't get he feel Bradford City is one if not the biggest club in this league. Worrying about Forrest Green is madness.

 

Do you really see that many teams beating us this season that we'll struggle?
