I don’t think we should pick people up on their English on a football forum. We all make mistakes when writing rapidly and autocorrect can perpetrate some enormous errors. I think if the meaning is clear there’s no problem.

Not a foul for me either. But it was a free kick everytime a cambridge player hit the deck, so for the sake of consistency its should've been a foul.

You see it so many times though, ref fails to see the blinding obvious then blows up for the slightest touch, works both ways but infuriating...

I personally think the criticism of any manager after three matches is unfair and hugely premature. It can’t be denied the weather played a part. It also cannot be denied that we have been throwing the lead away under the last three managers. It didn’t start with the current guy.

We will have to agree to disagree. Very very rarely do you see a move to three central defenders so early in a game because it naturally puts you on the back foot and invites pressure.

As much as I think that sub contributed to the loss, it wasn't the only reason. The game management from the players was very poor too. Novak should've held the ball up better and we should've been throwing ourselves to the floor and won some fouls to slow the game but we didn't.

Not really.. do you think my accountant or VIP bank manager give 2 fs about would have or would of!

Spelling doesn't make you money my friend and yes I am a lazy on here because I don't give a monkeys.

However, if you want a prize I will give you one!A plastic award that says top speller?

As for the main bit of your post I don't think we need a behind closed door match to understand Devitt is better than Taylor!

Think McCall was trying to please people with them comments or give people hope.

The team lack heart, fight and determination to be winners.

I think most of us thought we had recruited well enough to get
out of this league at first attempt, but we're seeing a lack of the
basic ingredients needed to accomplish this.

I also think that one of the reasons it's harder for a club like ours
to get promoted is our status, ground, fan base etc.We are a big club in
this league whether we like it or not and every home game raises
the oppositions game to want to beat us even more.We just don't
get it and our players don't match their desire. It's about the character
of the players along with good management and coaching, fitness etc.

My expectations have dropped again even though Stuart hasn't had time
to make his mark.He has a squad someone else recruited and he will have
to try and make the best of what we have with the inevitable mass clear
out again in the summer. How long we are staying in the basement we will
have to wait and see but with performances we've seen this season it needs
to be stressed this league has a trap door to obscurity and we're not to big
    to fall through it!

Evaluation of substitutes is valid after 3 or 300 games though.

The weather played a part, as it will for every game at the moment but that doesn't give the players or manager a free pass for the actions they take. It's just another factor.

I think that is more than feasible. However, the fans had firmly kicked Bowyer into touch and if the new coach didn’t work the ST sales would have suffered badly. With the McCall appointment for an 18 month contract the risk to ST sales was much less. A patch up might have worked, but a big risk if it didn’t.

@Lard Arse@Lard Arse I like a good conspiracy theory;) However, I accept your view that it is poor management. The fact that they were unprepared to think about sacking Bowyer to the last minute is reprehensible and neglectful.

It’s the modern fan football culture. Someone has to be to blame for everything and we need answers immediately. It’s a 46 game season for a reason. McCall hasn’t had that time but he’s lost one in 3 and immediately the squad is the worst in the league and play offs are gone.
I am guilty of it and agree with most of it but every game is now micro analysed.

Agree Dave. When Pritchard gets blatently fouled and no foul given, take out the Cambridge lad before he gets anywhere near the box to cross. Take one for the team.
Also, with three central defenders now on, how the hell does their lad put the ball in the net, unchallenged, from 6 yds out and central to goal?

Asked that on here yesterday about possibly more money for Devitt if he plays so many games? Not sure but we have cleared the decks in January so wouldn’t surprise me.
Possibly we pay them more if he plays?

The thing to remember with Stuarts subs yesterday is he wanted another victory
and especially as we haven't won away for ages so he tried to strengthen at the
back but it didn't work. Because a) he doesn't know the players well enough
    b) he probably felt they had a big advantage second half with the wind and
he doesn't yet realise we can't do the "Alamo" any more than Davy Crockett!

Looking at our season over last couple of months we've had teams battering
us away and we've not held out and even teams starting off on the front foot
because they know we are weak. It's a big job for Stuart and knowing how he
cares for this club he will be desperate to succeed and I hope he does.

I disagree. When I come on here I am typing with one finger as I use an iPad. So I am going to use short cuts. I am not writing a thesis to be presented, just my thoughts on mainly city and football. Not everyone on here has had a good education, are we saying only ppl who have had a good education and pristine spelling and grammar can comment or they won’t be taken seriously?

I’ve seen it back a few times and it’s not a foul
Pritchard is far too weak. Needs to show more there when the chips are down. Take everything out and if you don’t and go down make sure you get back up and track back. I’d be disappointed if they got a free kick for it

Your missing the point mate, Stuart obviously would like a behind closed doors friendly not to see what the likes of Taylor or in this case Devitt can do but to see if there is a reaction after his long time out and only getting the 44 or so minutes against Cheltenham.
