Just have a listen back to our previous three managers. What’s suprising? McCall, Bowyer, Hopkins. All said the same thing week in week out.

Whilst I agree with most of your post
Mr Adams was brought in mainly because he is an expert on getting budget/underperforming teams promoted without splashing the cash, I firmly believe that is the biggest reason Mr Sparks went full pelt for him (and made no secret of it)
How many times did we hear he got Morecambe up small crowds no budget etc I was sick of hearing it at the time in L2 we were polar opposites to Morecambe
Mr Sparks also stated during an interview before he was appointed refering to him as the new manager has had full input into signings and releasing of players (before the play off final) sorry not savvy enough to post the link but it is on here
Considering the above giving him the benefit of the doubt is a little difficult
He has an enormous task to get us promoted in the next 5 years never mind this season good luck to him on that one
You and the vast majority will get your way Mr Sparks would lose so much face if he fired him there would be no coming back for him either.
I am all for consistency at the club but at the moment the only thing we do consistently is drop points
In fairness we have an owner who doesn't care and a very inexperienced CEO but he knew that before accepting the job

It’s a bit chicken and egg this winning mentality rubbish we’ve now got in the press from Adams. It’s his job to motivate them to act like Songoo and ensure all players are dying for those 3 points and that shirt.
When do we start to say the manager isn’t motivating the collective squad because he’s either slagged the ones off he doesn’t like or just simply never picks them? Or is it the players have no motivation because they know deep down they are not good enough.

in the end yesterday I felt it was a team trying to get 3 points but our first half performance was abysmal. That’s on the manager in my book. Not on the players. He has to start with the right intent for 90 minutes and I believe this side is capable of stringing some wins together.

For me 75\25 at minute in favour of adams needing to do more with what he has.
Adams tactics, flogging the squad to death, poorly motivating them in the press and selling players out of the window when we have a threadbare squad as it is. That’s all on adams. Whether some like to admit it or not.

This run of fixtures was favourable since Tranmere and so far we haven’t really looked like winning either game. Now no one can tell me we don’t have a better squad than Tranmere or Scunthorpe?

This forum is hilarious sometimes. Sack the manager with multiple promotions after a few months of the season and ollie crankshaw is Messi who would have had us promoted by now. Lol times one thousand.

 

I'd be happy with a one goal defeat, as long as the xG is good it will show that we can hang with teams on a good run and that we are not far off.

 

I'd be happy to finish top of the xG table. More kudos to the squad than getting into the playoffs.

 

After last night I've decided to pass on going to Scunthorpe this weekend.

 

If turnbull had been here still this game would serve as a scouting exercise for January. Lets hope these new blokes deliver better and the club let them deliver something.

 

Is it confirmed anywhere that Adams could only choose from Turnbull's list, or could he maybe fall back on his own knowledge and contacts in the game?

I find it hard to believe a character like Adams would accept working under the former, people need to stop giving him a pass for the dismal squad he has constructed.

The much maligned Evans would be an improvement on what we are seeing at the moment in my opinion, that's for sure

 

Just reading the T&A with regards Angol, Vernam and Lavery all leaving the field because of injury its looking like Robinson battling alone up top, after Tuesday nights debacle I'm beging to regret booking with the Dolly boys, maybe a couple of extra pints might help.

 

Don't worry, Morecambe drew against the team bottom of the table last year so all is well...

 

I'm very surprised we haven't tried Evans at rightback/wingback, given that he had some success in that role at Portsmouth.

 

Scunny are 4/1 to win. I've stuck a tenner on. That's how much faith I have in this current crop of crocks.

I’m sure Roger Would have much rather have put his feet up at home watching on I-player.
I stayed in hotels over lockdown due to work commitments, it wasn’t fun, bars and restaurants shut, laying on a bed tucking into a Tesco sandwich, wearing masks everywhere, wondering just how clean the room actually is, we’re you going to get COVID from the cleaner making your bed. Bloody awful and a little scary.
However if that doesn’t fit your agenda I’m sure he was quaffing champagne whilst being fed grapes by scantily clad waitresses in the directors box........
