Listening to Billy Clarke he said the problem has been the constant revolving door of players coming in and out of the club every transfer window, denying the chance to build relationships and understanding. I don’t believe we need wholesale changes. 3 or 4 quality additions this window, with 3 or 4 more in the summer. As for Crankshaw, if the money raised brings in better, then all well and good. Good luck to him. We’ve binned off many players who’ve gone onto to seem like world beaters in their next venture. Maybe the weight of expectation at our club is too great for most, even managers.

It was a poor game we can agree on that, but IMO even a FGR, Exeter or Swindon would have struggled in those conditions.
Why is if a given that because they are playing a team at the bottom of league two we should be getting all 3 points our resent performances and points return suggest otherwise anyway i'ts all hypothetical.

Well if you though yesterdays weather conditions were great for playing football "it's bollocks".
It's far from an excuse but facts, the conditions were very poor, of course its the same for both teams I commented Scunthorpe bossed the first half and we bossed the second surely you understand why......then again maybe not doh.

How do we know that Adams won't ruin any new recruits within a week of joining with his sas style training regime. Problem with Adams is he thinks he's Ant Middleton.

Sorry as know this will have been covered but just watched the Sutton 'foul' with a National league ref, he just put his hand over his eyes, shook his head and laughed.
Tough conditions yesterday for a ref too but that decision was just a shocker

Great assessment on all points, I’ve seen us play some good football this season and enjoyed it at times (Stevenage) but it appears those moments were a flash in the pan and the wheels have now well and truly fallen off this season. At least another 2 seasons in L2 watching rubbish football and getting done over by tiny clubs like Harrogate.

That’s just really sad and as you say this level of support deserves so so much better, Rupp, Associate Directors (yes men), Sparks, Adams, The Players, the whole lot of you are a shambles and a massive let down and don’t deserve the support of our loyal fan base.

This conditions argument is just an excuse. Same for both teams.

All this "we had x number of chances in the second half" masks the fact that they missed a pretty easy chance before scoring and started the second half well and nearly scored. We could have been 2 down before or shortly after half time.

Our formation and set up is very structured and seemingly the players lack the ability to make changes on the pitch pro-actively so we just got stuck in a way of playing that wasn't working and progressively got pushed back until they scored. It then seemed to takes us a good while to get going in the second half when trying to play catch up.

In essence, we weren't any if much better than them. All the teams in this league seem pretty similar but we seem to lack the nous to be able to get ahead and stay ahead.

To be fair whichever team has the wind first half is probably gonna struggle more second half when you throw in the fatigue element. Bit easier to fight the wind when you full energy levels.

Where have I said different most of my replies in this thread I have posted exactly that, I've also said we could have been 2/3 down at half time yet we could have won the game with our second half dominance, but IMO for either side to have taken ll 3 points would have been harsh.
So your agreeing with most of my comments, a rather strange post @Botswana Bantam@Botswana Bantam.

Billy is one hundred percent right we need to bolster this squad not rip it up the right players in key positions will make the difference between drawing and winning

A couple of loans and a permanent or two could do it...

Same applies to managers a revolving door doesn't help anyone but as we know not all fans will get on board with that as they're still trigger happy from the Rahic era lol

43"]What an dreadful game that was yesterday. Granted the conditions on and off pitch were awful but even if the scun had shone it would not have improved the standard beyond a "park game".

Lets be clear we have playing for us some of the worst players ever to have worn a City shirt. Some might claim we havs seen worse individually and that might be true ? But as a group of players coming together at the same time they are shockingly bad.

This revolves around their application; ability to read the game; anticipate things and simply connect things up between them. Rarely is there a passage of play that joins up with a meaningful impact on the opposition ? It all comes to nothing and chances just fritted away.

Theres is no leadership or direction on the pitch and its just like school boy football. Everyone just chasing the ball; getting in each others way and looking lost as to what they are supposed to do ? Its amatuer level.

All this by the way is under Derek Adams ? These players are poor I think we can all recognise that. But what exactly have Adams & Trueman (lets not ignore his part in this and lsst seasons "fall off a cliff") done to improve any of them?. Very little in my opinion. Theres nobody out there benefitting one iota from the "Derek Adams School of Coaching" not one. Infact they are actually suffering from the DASC given the terrible injury record amongst this group.

Adams with 2 wins in 20 games should now be starring down the barrel. But hes not because he can say with some justification "well just look at the state of the players" . Hes getting away with it because we are sold the myth that Derek Adams is a "three times League 2 promotion achiever". He might be ? but this far into a seriously unimpressive reign he is not showing it.

He could be showing it by us seeing actual improvement in his class. But the dimwits are not any brighter nearly half way through their first year and at this rate every single one of them are heading for bottom grades ! Adams also actually shows himself up by failing to recognise a "star pupil" in Ollie Crankshaw !. We could also see that OC had a bit of something to "make things happen" when he came on (as rare as it was!) but he did. Adams cannot clearly have seen that in him as he sends him off to Stockport County Finishimg School ! and of course he is doing exactly that finishing ! Shows Adams up to me does this ? Also Ryan Sparks & the Club for going along with it. It wont be long now before Stockport are passing us by. What do we get yesterday Abo Eisa yet another player with an appalling injury record and embelishing that further - useless to us like the rest of them.

We need to ask some questions about Adams & Trueman for that matter ? Their methods are not improving the players and clearly their message is wrong or the players simply cannot take it in. So we carry on in the hope that the cavalry will arrive next month ? Do we have virtually a whole team of replacements lined up ?. We know from last season that Bolton "binned off" nigh on the entire first eleven and started again on a run that secured promotion. We could do that but can we get rid of these players and their contracts and have we the £s available to replace them ? I doubt it which means nothing much is likely to change ?

We are being massively let down by the management & players of this Club. 15000 home crowds is outrageous for the standard of football Adams is delivering week in week out. Near on 2000 yesterday away to stand in those conditions and watch that ? You can say well you can choose not to go ? But thats not how this works is it ? Right now we go because we hold onto the romantic ideal that things are going to get better. The thought of the "good times" keeps us warm. But I fear the good times are a long long way from returning and that Adams & Truemans inability to school these players in their "methodology" means things are not getting better any time soon and their respect at the front of this class is diminishing game by lousy game.[/QUOTE]

As someone pointed out I might need a spelling class ...clearly a DASC one ! But I did correct my first attempt however Mods seem to have binned off my corrected version. None the less I reckon by your responses the message was received postively. Thanks for taking time to read. Outsider

Why do you assume everyone who quotes your posts is arguing with you?

Why don't you just read each post on its merits?

It’s not a given and Scunthorpe have improved under Hill. I guess if we have any idea about making up the ground weve lost to the sides above us then we need to start converting these glut of draws into wins. No better than starting against the bottom of the league. We just don’t look likely to at present.

When your opening comment is "Don't agree with your analysis" followed by "This conditions argument is just an excuse. Same for both teams" in reply to my original post, I say that's arguing/disagreeing wouldn't you ?
Followed by " We could have been 2 down before or shortly after half time" when I have openly stated exactly that, may be my posts should be read on merit ?.
You comment in your first reply, It wasn't a pen, Have a look at Bantams Lelant on twitter, it was my opinion at the time even posting "but the referee said he dived" I've still not seen a replay but at the time I thought it was a penalty from where I was stood it was just an opinion, maybe your reply should have been, Have a look at Bantams Lent video Bronc's it doesn't look a penalty, at the time it looked like you were arguing.

That was not aimed at you but has been used in the sense that if we cant beat the likes of Scunthorpe were crap, yes yesterday would have been a good starting point, that was certainly one of the reasons I went, along with believing we could not be as bad as we were second half at Tranmere, but I'll stress again the weather had a big impact on the game each side playing with the wind at their backs dominating, Scunthorpe first half City the second.
