Agree. I mean, his points may be very valid but somethings should be kept behind doors. I think every fan wants honesty from their managers analysis of the game and admission when it wasn’t good enough. However this approach feels such so dated and completely out of touch with the modern day player. Granted, some players may thrive of this approach, but again keep it to the dressing room.

For me this is not a manager I could relate to, regardless of the teams results.

As for the game sounds like we ground out a great away win when maybe a draw was a fairer result. Sure Adams and the back 4 will be disappointed with goals against, certainly the first looks as though POC could have done more to try stop the cross and suspect Canavan will feel he’s beaten a bit too easily for the header. That said credit to Hawkins as the leap and finish is very decent, as is the volley for his second.

Would have loved to be in the away end when the 3rd went in - amazing following again yesterday.

    Any news on Cooke?

He went down because he was exhausted. He wanted to stay on but Adams wanted some fresh legs.

Have to agree Olly. I’ve interviewed, recruited and managed a number of managers in my time and any manager showing that sort of behaviour would be out of the door. I recognise there are many dissimilar traits between industry and retail management compared to football management , but common decency is a “ given”. There will be those who call out such comments as “snowflake” etc etc, but management in multi million pound businesses is a different animal to playing FM 2021.

Any bets there will be a letter on his desk from the PFA within the week?

Sure I read somewhere was just a dead leg, Adams didn't seem too fussed in his interview. Angol's sounds serious though, sadly

You can’t say that publicly about your RB. In your dressing room, of course. Not to the media.

“RB played with Vernam at Grimsby. They must be friends as he’s not tackled him all game”

    Shocking! Relationship meltdown lol

Watching quest this morning they thought Clough's comments where tongue in the cheek and rather amusing. He would have addressed them in the dressing room directly.
Anyway watched match of the day also this morning. Man City do copy our style of attacking football.;)

A special mention to ROD yesterday. Yet again during the match thread he was getting unjust stick, not sure why?.

Hats off to him for the brilliant save from Hewitt to prevent Mansfield scoring a late winner, instead 30 seconds later, it was the Bantams fans cheering a late winner

Stuart was too damn nice. With his career I would he wouldn't have any regrets, sometimes good players don't make good managers noatter what you try to do.

Agree Roger, being “ one of the lads” doesn’t make a good manager.

As an old engineering foreman once told me, when I started to climb the ladder.

“ You will know you are getting there when they start scratching your name on the shit hole door!”

    Always remember that one.

To be honest he wouldn't have been my first choice this season. Having said that I have been quietly impressed with him so far. Good shot stopping at key points in games plus he seems to have got a longer piece of elastic!

City have been allocated the full amount of 1,673 seated tickets for the clash, in the One Call Stadium's North Stand, with over 1,500 tickets already snapped up and less than 100 remaining.

The Newport match was a Saturday fixture not midweek. I think they reversed the home and away fixtures due to Rodney parade pitch not being ready for the start of the season. So Mansfield had 2 home games to start with.

Gutted to be missing in. Being at the York ebor will soften the blow though and 3 points would soften it even more!

Good piece that, in fact very good with a lot of accurate details. I vaguely remember Bannie hitting four against the Stags.

There is no doubt Adams will pick the players and formation he thinks will do the job, in his interview regarding Vernam being unlucky to not be involved more he alluded to that.
I've put us down for a 2-1 win with Lavery scoring our first, after a result and performance like Tuesday night the only changes should be as you say for injuries so Angol out Lavery in for me, but Adams has my full trust.
