He's not that good really. He constantly grabs the opposition forward or blocks them off and gives away cheap free kicks. He much prefers an aimless hoof up the pitch. What I'm seeing today is Canavan is making Paudie look not that bad but the two O'Connor's are not a good combination.

Friggin hell Anthony. Stop reversing into the area. He went backwards from the bottom of the centre circle to in line with the penalty spot. Put in a challenge!

Yeah but I don't think its quite that simple. T&S came in and threw out the nonsensical approach we had under mccall. They gave us a proper defensive shape and we put in place a few of the basics that were missing. Novak coming back helped and our form picked up, largely because we were edging a number of very close games and we probably benefitted from that new manager bounce. Our overall performances haven't dropped off massively, but we're now losing out on more of these close games. We need a squad rebuild, and whilst I don't think we'll change T&S in the summer, we need to take a very long, hard and dispassionate look at whether they're right for us next season, once the season ends. Personally, I don't think they'll be here by Christmas and next season will end up being another of transition, upheaval and ultimately, failure.

The bottom line here, is that far too many are just not good enough.

I hate this team so much. The lack of quality is frightening.

 

Fecking abysmal. Wingers playing as secondary full backs, Donaldson in central midfield and nobody within a mile of Cook. No intention whatsoever to play football, just boot it forwards and hope for the best. Negative, boring dross in a game we are losing but have to win.

 

Bit conservative that is.

 

Useless, painful and as embarrassing as ever.......

 

Just like last season when the first one scored from a corner was when we were all at Valley Parade v Plymouth.

 

I didn't mind the longer balls early on as we seemed to have Clayton and Cook up front and it seemed to be unnerving them a bit but since they've scored we've been hopeless.

 

He’s always moaning. I don’t mind players having a whinge but Paudie is at it all the time. Am I right in thinking he’s the most fouled player in the league this season? That would tell me that he does get under the skin of attackers and gets his positioning right. He’s not a bad CB for this division but he’s not what we need if we want to progress. Same with the majority of this squad though really.

 

Its been awful. I'm trying to make allowances for the lack of quality in the squad, but we look poorly coached in many ways. And too many of these players are just done, or not good enough:

This is utterly appalling. It’s just route one chance football rather than attempting to carve anything out.

Past game and a half we’re 3-0 down to Crawley and Harrogate ffs.

45 minutes to save our season, every single one of them needs to step up and be counted.

 

why dont they set up to go at teams , too bloody negative this set up , we are not getting relegated , so have a right go attack wise, rather we lost having a go than this.

 

Did anyone notice the exact time and date Billy Clarke was diagnosed with an allergy to footballs?
