I contacted the generic email address for the ticket office today with a query. They replied within an hour. All issues addressed and sorted.
I've always found the team in the ticket office very helpful and will go out of their way to help where they can.

Bowyer only played 4-3-3 because that's his preferred formation. The fact City don't have enough quality players to fulfil that is irrelevant. WHY else would he chance Doyle as a #10, or otherwise ?

As another poster suggested (like you) ........ Pick your system to suit the players, rather than guess the players to suit a system!

Further - GB stated in late May (I think) .... He wanted height and pace - We have the height, but where's the pace ?
GB is also a fan of a 'creative' midfield ! WHAT midfield ? It's an area he's neglected from day one, bar Palmer.

The reality is we had 3 shots on target and that should be the focus of 90 minutes football, not pot shots going 20 yards wide.

 

Why don’t you throw corners and free kicks in as well you might be lucky and get near 20. I guess its what your interpretation of a chance is, if its Richards Everton smashing well wide then i think we need to redefine what a chance is.

History tells us that last season has no bearing on this season. We know that well enough. A manager that has only been there 6 or 7 months. A transfer window to bring in his own players. When they have played 25 or 30 games this season then decide whether they are one of the poorer sides.

Paudie, Akpan and McCartan back in contention tomorrow, plus Anderson, who has recovered from his injury. Colville not trained all week due to illness. So almost at full strength.

Time to bin off Colville, a player who missed a lot of last season due to injury, messed us around for 3 months debating whether to sign or not, and now missing through illness.

Just watching Liverpool playing 4-3-3. When they're attacking it's really 2-5-3. The fullbacks provide all the width and the front three are just that. Can't see that we've the personnel to play like that. The other version of it is 4-3-1-2 which is what I think we're trying to play. But that requires a talented midfielder as no. 10, which we might have in McCartan but certainly not in Doyle. I don't really think we have the players to play any system properly at the moment. Also watched a bit of the City v Northampton game and we had Doyle and Jones as our midfield two. Not very creative but didn't need to be. Just fed the front two or Reid and Thompson. That could be the way to go for us if we read Scannell for Reid and ano for Thompson. But I don't think we will.

 

He’s allowed to experiment if he’s seen it work. Not every decision he will make will be the right one.

 

I can't understand his thinking either. We're playing in a new kit today so why he's persevering with Doyle is beyond me. Anyone with an ounce of sense would know that's going to be far too much orange for one man.

 

For the first three league fixtures of this season we have a golden opportunity to hit the reset button and create a positive vibe going forwards, if we put in three disappointing performances the negative atmosphere will return and the pressure could just build and build. Don't throw this chance away.

 

My problem goes back to last season when he consistently picked weak teams then, same has continued this season rewarding a system that flopped so disappointingly.
