The unbeaten run will come to end sometime and normally I would have this fixture down as a good candidate but having said that we don't look as vulnerable as we have in the past. During this run we have ground out a result even when not at our best.

Received Staunton back in training now too and cpuld apparently be travelling with the squad for this game.

It’s almost a no brainier for me, Exeter win, I’ve supported City far too long to expect anything else!!

They play a 4-2-3-1 like we do but as Morecambe showed the way to beat them is soak up a bit of pressure then hit them.
Stevenage had a bit of pace and created enough chances to win.
I think we will win well if we keep our mobility and movement up front to the standards they have been recently.

Like @Faithful Bantam says Reece may travel and Pritch too. Sounded like Pritch was closer to being fit.

Clarke, as we saw, had a hamstring niggle. They'll find out today if he's fit to travel or not.

 

Good news on Staunton. I had heard that the club hoped he'd be back around end Jan, rather than the 3-4 months he was initially ruled out for. He'll have a tough time getting back in though!! I actually wonder whether he'll feature more as a left back next season, if Wood goes.

 

It's all going well now mate. We could lose against Exeter and then against Scunny then Saunton is fully back in the picture or we might have injuries at in defence.

For me I think we need to see if Staunton can play in back 4 but we can do this once we are fully safe.

I'm not interested in this season. It's all about next season now and I will be looking to ease both AOC and Wood out of the picture giving more game time to those that should or might be around next season. So Staunton should be starting soon enough but no rush, let him fully recover and see what the next few weeks brings.

 

Changed my vote to watching this one now the rubbish weather forecast has curtailed my plan of a long walk! Hoping for clean sheet at the worst, but a win would be fantastic.

Looking forward to seeing what Vernam has to offer assuming he comes in for Clarke. Hoping like he'll give us more width which I think our play has been lacking in general this season.

 

I wouldn't be so quick to write this season off just yet. 8 points or more from the next 4 games, and its on.

 

Doesn't like they have any snow forecast, or sub zero temps either, in Devon, so should be on to give us a distraction from the snow forecast up here!
