May as well start the thread. Whilst Exeter are well above us in the current table, their form recently has been poor. Their last four home games has seen 1 victory, 2 draws and 1 defeat. They have both scored 5 and conceded 5 goals.
Our former player, Nicky Law has left them today, to play in the USA. having made 18 league appearances this season, he was an important member of their squad.
Currently they are the top scorers in the league, having said that they do concede a lot, hence why they are currently sitting 9th in the table, with five more points than us.
They have lost the last two games, but their form over the full season at home is win 7, draw 2, lose 4. They score virtually 2 to every goal they concede.
I think that it is difficult to call. Potentially a scoring draw.

Remember that it is an early kick off at 1.00 pm!

According to the latest 'Fishy' form table we're sitting proudly in 3rd and they're a miserable 18th. They've got a midweek match too.The long trip rather than the opponents could be the biggest factor. However , I'm more confident of a positive result against them than I would have been a few weeks ago.

Exeter - long trip to Carlisle yesterday plus another away game on Tuesday at Stevenage. Our respective form plus their recent exertions, I can see us getting something on Saturday.

But in the same context, we have a long trip to Exeter on the back of long trips to Cambridge and Southend...

The one we need to worry about is the trip to Scunthorpe the following Tuesday. Not much recovery time

And by that I take it you mean we'll squeek a 2-1 win, clinging on for the last 20 minutes?

Last time I went there at Exeter we lost 2 of our main players before kick off sanctioned to the stand and sat behind me binned for drinking night before the game with hats pulled down over the face and then McCall arguing with our fans over the perimeter wall over our performance,
    Happy days!!

With a break in between. Probably didn’t express myself well enough. We’ve got a clear week, by Saturday, their 8th game in a month, our 4th in the same period. For me, it looks like as good a time as ever to make the long trip to Exeter.

Yes, that reply has credence. Fatigue amongst the home players, rotation a real possibility.
I've been to Exeter once, a draining experience. Steve Gardner own goal on a wet Wednesday night

Now the Transfer Window is shut and the two new recruits have arrived it will be intresting to see what T&S do on saturday. I can't see a change in the formation of 4-2-3-1 which has made us very solid and fits in with how we play.

I would expect if Clarke's injury puts out of the equation Vernam will come straight in but I can't see any other changes unless there is another injury. On the bench we will probably be the strongest we have seen in recent years.

What I assume they will go with.

Think the way we play on the counter is set up nicely for this one.
    2-0 or 3-1 to us I think.
Rowe, Cooke and a late debut goal for substitute Vernam.
