    Much more solid can’t really remember them having a clear cut chance, only scoring because we stuck it in the net for them. Just a shame we couldn’t finish one of them one on one chances in the second half. Team looked like they knew their roles and what they were doing for a change.

    best team performance of the season.. from a coach who has only had 48 hours to put a side together. there was more in that performance than any since February.

    I don't understand why SMcC should feel betrayed. It was his preparation, his team selection, his tactics and whatever he engendered in the team which led to us being in the relegation zone. Somebody else with many years less coaching experience than him, took the same squad of players, got to understand them at very short notice and produced something different and better. I'm sure SMc will be pleased with the result tonight but I also hope he is looking at himself in the mirror.

    Wasn’t expecting much when I paid a tenner but pleasantly surprised. That was so much better than recent performances. Defended pretty well, unlucky with their goal, 2 great opportunities to take the lead. Happier tonight but a long way to go.

    Could they have been fed up with McCall and Blacks tactics? Keep it pretty simple and we’ll grind out results to keep us in this division.

    My predicted score. 1-1 with Novak scoring.

    Pity we couldn't have nicked it with that through ball to Pritchard though.

    Still, a much more organised and disciplined performance. Far fewer gaping holes down the side with a back four. And at least with Novak back we have someone who knows vaguely where the goal is.
    Small beginnings, but it's a start.

    Whilst there distribution at times was wayward I thought the two holding midfielders did very well today. I thought it was a mistake bringing scales on for Samuels
