    As you say…..’
Barrow-in-Furness is the part of the UK where Covid-19 is spreading at its fastest rate with the highest week-on-week rise.
Looking at new cases per 100,000 people, there were 1,554.1 people newly infected in Barrow for the seven days to December 25 compared to 544 the previous week’.

Your last eight words sum up my feeling. Succinct, to the point, game over, onto Carlisle.

can you blame us for being miserable though ????
This league is shocking there is not one team in that top 7 that I would fear that’s why there is so much negativity around the club ........ even with our current squad we should be up there ...... I mean FGR and Sutton United easily two of the poorer sides I have seen this season and they are in the top 3 ?????
Don’t get me wrong we did well regarding the Covid episode but let’s have it right yesterday was like what had gone in before our Covid outbreak ............... we got away with it yesterday hopefully come Carlisle we are more up to match speed with one or two signings through the door ............

Why do I need to agree with you that today's win was remarkable? By extension any team winning today had a remarkable win.

Of course you'd disagree, you're on the wind up as usual. If anyone doesn't agree with you then they're just wrong according to you. It's impossible for anyone to have a difference of opinion with you because any different opinion to yours is just wrong according to you. You're a bit boring really.

Having a different opinion to that poster doesn't make us miserable. It just means we have a different point of view. Don't worry, let that poster clap for all of us!

He (and other midfielders) need players in front of them who are running towards goal more. Both Raynor and Morais commented that our first goal was unusual this season and its true. Let's hope Angol and others learn from that goal and give the midfielders the chance to play more balls like that.

Let’s just be glad we won, and let’s hope we can build on that and make it 2 wins in a row at Carlisle.

If we do, we’ll possibly move into the top 10 and we might have the confidence to put a little run together.

No I don't blame any Bantam fan to be utterly depressed after the last 5 years (this month in 2017 was the start of our rapid decline)

I just think we need to be more objective when analysing performances. There's been all kinds of reasons for the failures this season so far, not all of it terrible.

I'll repost for you, in a different way, so you can understand better;-
    1. The 'remarkability' of the win, was that we'd had what is believed to be 17 of the squad affected by Covid.
    2. Barrow are the only L2 club to have played all their games, i.e. the only team to have no Covid interruptions.
So yes, the world "remarkable" is an apt description for the win. Not certain how any other L2 can be seens as having a "remarkable win" considering they either haven't had the disruption we have or they weren't playing a team that had no disruption[/QUOTE]

Explain how defending the team, but pointing out the obvious impact of Covid is "on the wind up". You're simply a social media participator who's a bit sensitive and so sees any 'debate' as a personal attack on yourself.

If you're going to decide to ignore the Covid impact - then you're setting yourself up to look a bit silly and hence get argued against. It's quite simple. If I say that the Bantams are better than Manchester City - then I'm going to get people disagreeing.

    Keep calm and safe.

    Yours sincerely

That is a fair comment but in some way backs up Banbrotams comments, after everything that has happened we should just be happy and celebrating a City win rather than moaning about parts of the the performance.
There are people on here who beforehand stated the result was everything yesterday, but have still moaned about Adams decisions - I know it wasn't pretty but the culmination of players returning from injury and illness gave him an awful lot to think about and manage, particularly in the 2nd half.
Could be one in before Carlisle, Scout has indicated talks are well progressed (before you ask no idea who :))

You make a valid point but then ruin it by using phrases like 'remarkability' and 'remarkable'. We weren't playing a Premier league team in the cup, this was a team below us in the table who only been back in the EFL two years and have injury problems with what is a small squad. And covid effects people in different ways, some don't even show symptoms but would still have been precluded from playing with a positive test. Next you'll be ranking alongside our Chelsea win.

For someone who believes "most people are past giving a toss about Covid", going by your recent posts on this forum, you seem to be obsessed by COVID, which suggests you are not one of those people.

I would be extremely surprised if COVID did not significantly disrupt our preparations for yesterday's match but, as others have pointed out Barrow have had injury issues which disrupted their preparations. In the end it was City that got the 3 points and we now move on.

Show me where I've every not got "on with my life" due to Covid.

Just because some of us can recognise a unique hazard and respect it's consequences - seems to be a problem for some.

And most people are not "past giving a toss" - most polls have people actually wanting a lockdown (I disagree - the virus is too virulent for a lockdown to be effective)
