Quite liked the lad Akinola for Southend. Fast, tricky and a decent shot on him. He was their dangerman at VP earlier too.
Glad we stifled him last night!

I'm thinking that if Cooke can keep up with this form, then Watt becomes the weakest link in midfield. For a ball winning player, I think he disappears from games a lot. We need someone in his position that can take the game by the scruff of the neck when needed, and that's not him. I believe he's a great prospect, but at twenty years old, he's not quite been round the block enough to know the true ins and outs of that position. Of course, there's exceptions in the forms of Gerrard and Lampard, but they were not run of the mill young midfielders. I'd like us to get an experienced anchor man in, who can free up Cooke and Sutton to drive forward a bit more - like we know they can do. Watt is one for the future for sure. Has an excellent range of passing, but his positioning is a bit off sometimes.

I think Sutton is the ball winner in that midfield/box to box, Watt is there to be a play maker more than anything.

Think you're being quite harsh, tough game last night on a tough pitch and terrible conditions but for me he's doing a very good job at moving the ball in this run we're on.

But still a pretty impressive career with regards staving relegation off from past clubs, lets be honest WBA owner and fans wouldn't give a monkeys about style/performances if he can keep them up.

Perhaps you're right. I just would like him to have more of an influence on games. I think if we brought in someone with a slightly older head, they'd make more of a difference. As I said, I like him as a player, and can see him heading in the right direction, but for us to do so more quickly, I think bringing someone in to take that role, would make a huge difference.

And other than the cash he will get in a brown envelope for doing it, neither some Sam. he's bent, and not in any non hetrosexual way. A corrupt scumbag who should have been bounced out of football for good.

No not him U. This lad played as an attacking midfielder. I noticed him when they played at VP earlier. He looked fast, very tricky and had a good shot in him, glad we kept an eye on him last night!

These away games with iFollow attracting these numbers must be a great cash earner for the club, how many would we have taken to Cambridge or Southend on a Tuesday normally?

I think I read somewhere that the first 500 subscribers signing up via the City iFollow subscription goes to the home club but anything above that goes to City.

Yes, so over 4,000 (minus the two 500's) for the last two games. Good stuff!

For me, Danny Rowe is fast proving - just two games in - to be the signing of the season. Why the hell did Oldham let him go?! He has the confidence to shoot on sight, gets into great spaces, reads what people are doing around him with great intelligence and always looks like a threat. And he must be a bastard to play against, as a defender. And he's the most brutal kicker of a football at VP since yer man Campbell. If this was Lee Turnbull's doing, hats off to you mate.

But I don't think he will Bronco. Obviously at a lower level, but what T and S are showing is that tactical and coaching thoughts and ideas have moved on big time, and I think Big Sam is yet another yesterday's man alongside the likes of Pullis. They're trying to apply what used to work for them in a different world of new ideas. Sadly, that was Stuart and Kenny too.
