I think the reason we have such a wonderful support you suggest is because they get a professional football match for little over £6;pound a match something the club should take great credit for

Even at £6 per game if the product on offer is rubbish we will haemorrhage support
How about put a winning team on display and charge more it really is basic economics
Can we discredit the club for not seeing this

We've had cheap season tickets since 2007 and fans haven't haemorrhage as yet, in fact were getting better support now than we did the first season they were introduced the same time as we brought Stuart back as manager.
The cost of season tickets has been done to death, as you know there are no guarantees in football, nobody complained when Parky gave us those 4/5 great season whilst tickets were cheap.

    That's my point Dave
Put a winning team on the grass and the interest is there 6 or 10 quid a pop wouldn't matter
Put a poor team on the grass and figures attending will undoubtedly drop regardless of price
@Park bantam@Park bantam was lording the club for cheap tickets it's a lazy way to get bums on seats rather than to provide an attractive/successful side

But they haven't dropped even after all the crap we've had watch since McCall got us to Wembley, I honestly can't see any logic it charging fans £300 I'm not sure what the average season ticket price would be in League Two possibly getting 10.000 attendances then the knock on effects with regards food, drink, hospitality, but once again more revenue doesn't equate to success, sorry we'll have to disagree on this one Steve, let's hope Alexander can get the ball rolling and give us good football something to want to go to games for and our other problem's become less relative.

Off the top of my head, the first 'cheap' season tickets were £138 and this season we paid £199?
Maybe someone can check those figures.
If correct, there has been 44% increase over 13 years. That's probably not keeping up with inflation over the period.

We all have opinions Dave and who knows who's right
It also opens up the old chestnut of how many are actually in the ground rather than tickets sold
Agree let's hope he gets the ball rolling but problems are higher than that

Not sure you get around that one by increasing prices, in fact if it did bring any success those you refer to above would still be at the club.

I'm sure your right it probably hasn't kept up with inflation, but when it was launched I don't think that was the intention, I believe the offer originally from Julian was if we got over a certain figure 10/12,000 I'm sure someone will correct me if its incorrect the deal would go ahead and its just continued every season since, and fair does to Rupp he's continued with cheap tickets.
If Ryan and his team keep increasing off field revenue I would think Rupp would be more than happy to continue with possibly an increase each season, not forgetting any of the 25 year's still alive will start paying for both season tickets and suite upgrade in my case.

No it’s a forward looking way to maximise income and the Club deserve great credit for it. Sadly it’s taken for granted now

I'm sure the idea was to get a sizeable audience, then ramp up the prices for the Championship - when most of the people would have renewed and paid more.

Unfortunately we're back to square 1, and cheap tickets are the key to our crowds, rather than success.

If you bought a ticket for the theatre and it was sold out and ten didn’t turn up it would be sold out. The seats have been bought for the match so the attendance published us correct

Bums on seats is the criteria
How many times have you been to VP and doubted the official attendance
Crowds are dropping and you look for any way to disprove it
Theres no problems at the club at all is there all's rosy

I doubt there would be any resistance to that, the opposition teams coming to Valley Parade would bring larger away support the fact that we would be a Championship club would bring back some glory hunters, I believe we would have near a sell out every home game so offering cheap tickets would be difficult option.

Yep. All part of Julian Rhodes' '5 year plan' to get back to the Championship in 2007. Still waiting, 16 years later.

This dilemma of cheap season tickets; does it bring more in yes it does, does it provide more money to the players budget, don’t know? Why? We know the size of the cake is £8.4 million however the one with the knife has declined to tell what the playing budget is. Yes it matters because we want to know that the maximum amount is going to the playing budget. We also.need to know other essentials are covered.

Asking the fans to cough up more money when we don’t know how the cake is carved up is insulting and taking the fans for fools. If we they want to increase the players budget, that is ok but first we need to know where it is all going that is only fair.
