No idea if he's even any good. He's scored more at Grimsby in 4 games than he did for us, and he started 10 times. Didn't look all that, certainly wasn't Banks level.

 

The problem Young had with us was that he was never played in his proper position I.e. up front as part of a two. He was always picked to play wide which he can't do. He was one of a number of brainless signings last summer - players signed who didn't fit the system we were going to play.

 

I’ve got this awful feeling this is the year we lose our football league status. The league is the strongest it’s ever been and we have assembled in my eyes the worst squad after Peter Taylor’s era. It’s a complete shambles.

 

Blimey mate, don't be saying that, my nurse will have to up my medication and start locking the sharp implements away if that's what awaits the club.

I know that City don't look like a promotion contender at the minute, but I honestly don't foresee an actual relegation scrap either. I think it's going to be a disappointing season, where we'll see the team finish mid table. Which for a club of City's size is still a massive underachievement.

I suppose we did have Cooky’s missed pen and 1 on 1 but Louie Barry missed an absolute sitter and they missed two other good chances. Think we were second best and deserved to lose. If we’d won 3-1 it would have been rough justice on them.

 

Both sides had gilt edged chances not taken. I'd say a draw was a fair result.

we were ok at home vs Colchester and he is fortunate the poorest displays so far have been away from the bumper home support.

get off to a bad start vs Crewe though and it’s a matter of time until the “don’t know what you’re doing” chants replace “Mark Hughes’ Bradford army”
