So looking at the league 2 top goal scorers

Abo Eisa is on 3 for Grimsby
Jake Young is on 3 for Swindon

why is it every time we let a player go they go on to smash it elsewhere ?

Jake also had two assists today as well

We played dreadful today and unless we bring in several players we won’t even make top half with that team

Does anybody know how long Jamie Walker & Alex Gillead are out for? Because it was very clear today we need them back asap

Both tbh! It certainly isnt good for your sanity watching this football club.

it seemed like we had a solid set up last year and just needed to upgrade some of the personnel, yet it now feels like we are lost and have gone back to square one.

We needed more pace in the side and to be a bit more adventurous, but not convinced we’ve progressed for the summer break and for the new recruitment as you’d hope

Just for balance can anyone think of a player whose had a poor career prior to coming here and then hit a rich vein of form? No? Me neither.

Actually it’s my first weekend off since Nov 2022
But I’ve already done 12 cities across Europe in August haha
And was excited to watch City and what a shocker it was
Back on the road next week, I’ll be in the skies when we play on Saturday, I land after the game,

agreed was thinking the same earlier but we lost Banks & Crichlow

not sure why we had City recruitment saying we have a solid base & only need to add a few!

we literally lost two of our best players & then also gave away some other forwards like Jake Young & Eisa, who have hit the ground running at their clubs,

could see this coming a mile off; there is no cohesion in the side,

It wasn't a million miles off last year.
A bit of pace and guile to help out Cook upfront, a few more goals from midfield and a more positive attitude to home games would have seen them in the mix. This looks like a shambles at the moment. It didn't need ripping up and starting again.

    Walker back next week.
    Gilliead don't know.
For me we need to get a settled formation that works with the players we have.
Dropping Halliday for Oyegoke is madness.
We have a new left back who's only just arrived.
Macdonald is quality but just getting match fit.
Cook isn't playing well at all.
    Lewis isn't playing well.
Smith and Pattison look decent but need to gel with other players.

All these with the added pressure of the fans demands that relate to Hughes and last season are imo starting to mix into a melting pot of failure.
Everyone really needs to pull together or the season will be done before Christmas.

The fans can only do so much to help .......... it's down to Hughes to start producing before it really turns sour .............. if that had been Adams then it would have turned nasty already

Too many poor players makes other players come down a peg or too. Shambles.

Hughes is able to live off the ‘new signings need to gel’ excuse for a bit longer but three or four more games and then things will really turn if performances and results don’t improve. We were lucky to get a point at Stockport and were awful yesterday. Last season our away form got us in the playoffs.

we did well against Colchester after the rocky start, so can we bank on having a better home record this year? Hughes might need it to keep his job.

We were lucky to get a point at county. Kidding BL? We should have won 3-1?

We can't be stupid on account of Abo Eisa.

    Lad was never fit.

Anyone saying we're stupid based on that should give their head a wobble.

Jake Young? Remains to be seen, I guess.

Can you explain to me how you think that is what happened?

Eisa got a two year deal and sat on the treatment table the entire time. Meanwhile, Osadebe came in on the exact same deal the following year and has pretty much done the same thing. Osadebe is only here because he's got a year left. Eisa is not here because he didn't have any longer left on his contract and probably couldn't get away fast enough given how superstitious footballers are.

Both have been a complete waste of time, largely through no fault of their own, they've just been crocks.

But letting Eisa go 'in favour of Osadebe' makes zero sense. That did not happen, and is a lie.

Whatever the circumstances if he stays fit Eisa is a bigger loss to the club than Jake Young

You just said it, to be fair, if Eisa stays fit.

I'm glad someone else is taking that gamble, not us.

Jake Young isn't a loss at all, for me, but I can tell he's going to become Superman every time he scores, even he doesn't make double digits this season.

Eisa because of his ability would have been worth a gamble
