Sounds like that wasn’t an official warning, more a friendly suggestion.

When the forum started I sent a suggestion to someone as to how they could reduce their chances of ending up banned again. It wasn’t an official warning as at that point they hadn’t broken any rules but it looked as if they would. They ignored my suggestion and well guess what, but my point is that wasn’t a warning officially.

 

The fact that you think nasty personal abuse against an older forum member, implying senility and dribbling is 'low level' says it all.
It's perfectly possible to have a robust disagreement about football opinions without resorting to blatant ageist stereotypes and name calling (such as above).
I wonder how much you'll like being abused because of your age when you're a pensioner. Old age comes to us all you know.
The warning, official or not, was completely justified.
