    Seems as though we are getting an experienced player. According to the stats he has made 236 first team appearances and will be 26 in October. A good age to push on.

    To be fair, as it stands we only have one right sided, so makes sense we bring someone in who can play there. Ability to play midfield is an added bonus.

    I forgot we had him until the other day. Anyone know how he’s progressing with his injury?

    If he performs like he did in the limited games we saw him, I’ll be excited to see him back as think he could be our lead CB.

    With all these CBS, what does it mean for the existing players and also potentially, next seasons formation?

    It was clearly an area we needed to improve, happy to see us being proactive.

    of course I'd like us to improve the midfield area, and another striker. or two if Wyke is sold, but at present I'd go with 3 centre backs and wing backs.

    If it goes through, another very welcome signing. Pleased with how recruitment is going this time around! We seem to be building a squad capable of challenging in the top half of League One which is encouraging.

    With that group you could play 5-3-2 as you have set them up. However it lends itself to 3-5-2 and also an option of 5-3-1-1. You can dominate the central midfield. Only concern would be Kilgallon in a three man defence and his lack of speed, although he reads the game very well and is a ball playing centre half.
