Other clubs don't have supporters who actively seek negative news from the club, wallow and glorify in it, spread it and then use it as a club to beat the club with.

Theres a German expression for it and its not a very nice trait in people.

I get what you’re saying Kev, but it’s important stewards ‘keep the peace’. Also it’s not just this incident, as I said on another thread early season I saw a steward escort a man to his seat with a beer in his hand, that itself could land the club in hot water! I don’t know if I’m just getting on or something but the stewards I come across seem to be getting younger and younger and with Covid can’t imagine they’re that well trained. We’ve had enough fines through away days through the last 5 years or so, last thing we need is to start getting them for home matches as well.

 

The problem with stewarding at city is that most of them are agency stewards, they are their one game and not the other and frankly don't care what goes on as long as they earn their wage.

 

A day out on the piss with their mates for most.
Not supporters.
A few Leeds fans from Ravenscliffe in there showing off their tatoos recently.
Stewards not supervising etc.

I hope they can get this in check. Personally I've quite liked having the section in the ground to help improve the atmosphere. The ball is in their court but I'd be disappointed for the guys who've managed to organise it only to have it stopped by other idiots behaviour.

Got stuck on a bus in Salford with them, absolute dickheads the lot of them. No respect for the kids on the bus around them, pressing bus bell for twenty minutes, punching the roof and windows, insulting the Jewish community whilst passing and just generally being pricks.

I don't actually understand what the bring apart from nuisance. I mean we all love a good atmosphere but like I've said previously most of what they are doing is just noises whilst climbing over each other topless.

If your daughter can identify the culprits let's ban them indefinitely, we neither need or want d**heads like them. We won't miss them financially because they could discourage potential future new supporters.

Yes true Kev, but when has football in this country not needed stewarding? Imagine the FA coming out tomorrow and saying no more police or stewards at football, the behaviour would be crazy. It’s sad that a lot need it but they do, and the stewards need to do the job they’re paid to do in return. Otherwise there could be consequences for the club down the line.
