But remember we've had a number of allocations that have been less than a thousand or just over a thousand, where we physically couldn't take any more. 7 or 8 sellouts, can't do more than that. If we could have taken more than 600 to Harrogate we would have done. First opportunity and we took 4k to Donny.

All this shows is that for all our big gates we still have a core support that is much lower than our average home attendances.
Like I've posted before, any other team in the country who gets average gates above 18k takes more than 600 to a Saturday match , when looking to get into the top 3, wherever it is.
The amount of Middlesbrough fans I saw on Saturday going to Swansea was brilliant.

Middlesbrough can pull in 30,000+ regular away though, we wouldn't get near those gates even if the ground could hold that many.

Didn't they average like 4k for years until the stadium move and a few years in the premier League and their cup win??
If we were doing our usual mid table season I would understand why our followings were low, but what's baffling me is our long distance games are getting lower than they were in November and we are closer to the top 3 now?
