There's a bunker mentality at VP. Management is good. Fans are bad. What he would have been better doing is sending out a message to recognised fans/supporter groups to say "it's nonsense". Problem is, he can't as he has no relationship with them.

My problem is with the club's massively rapid response to this matter while they can't even run two fans forums a year as per their charter.

If he had a good relationship with media and the fans, these things would be more like running over pebbles and running into potholes.
