I'm been trying to put my finger on why my commitment to Bradford City FC has dwindled over the last couple of seasons and I've think I've finally worked it out.

As the Oxford result was confirmed I reaslised, I have no affinity for the club anymore, and to be honest why should I? There's no connection whatsoever to the club, the players, the staff, the boardroom, it's just not there.

This just isn't Bradford City anymore, the name is the same, they play at the same ground, but it's not the club we know, it's a bunch of individuals who don't seem to give a shite. There's no passion, no commitment, no desire which means I'm left feeling, why the fook should I show those attributes if the useless tits on the pitch don't.

It's a mess, a horrible, horrible mess, and it's going to take a hell of a long time to sort it out.

It took us over fifteen years, after going down from the Premier League, to get the club into a position where it could conceivably compete again above L1.

Eighteen months of mismanagement has ruined the club for the immediate future. It will take years, again, to recover from this. The squad is abject and not one saleable asset among them.

I absolutely feel the same. I used to go to game and enjoy chatting to some great and passionate fellow supporters. The more games I go to nowadays the more I hear mindless and aggressive moaners who do nothing than berate our own players or manager. Justified this season, probably, but the aggression amongst our own fans makes me not enjoy games anymore. I’ve never once had one of our supporters speak aggressively towards me until today. I see young fans setting off flares having no consideration for others, which has never been the case at the club in the 25 years I’ve supported them.

The players on the pitch are a reflection of the mess that has formed itself the moment the Rhodes and Lawn sold the club.

Saleable asset are the two words haunting Mr Rupp
We have absolutely nothing and some on here think he will dig even deeper !!!!
This may hasten his decision to get out then hopefully we get someone who is a City fan

Plus, anyone who is a City fan, with sufficient funds, will doubtless be loathe to take on the liabilities of the current wage bill. Not an attractive proposition right now.

I couldn't agree more. Some decision goes against us, a clear foul by a City player or an obvious offside, and dozens of people around me are up on their feet screaming obscenities at the referee or linesman. It's pathetic and laughable, but probably just a reflection of society in general where a rational approach to the world has all but disappeared.

I go to watch one of my local clubs, Chertsey Town FC, and have more passion and desire to contribute to their future than I do for BCAFC at the moment. I’ve spent thousands of pounds and many hours travelling from Surrey for many seasons, far too much the past 1.5 seasons, clinging onto the hope things will improve. I can actually (reluctantly) accept a poor team or manager. However what I will not accept is the anamocity and aggression within our own supporters. I have a 2.5yr old and was always excited to take her to her first Bradford game. Abolsutely no chance I’ll be doing that in the near future. I’d rather her experience a club where club and fans come together rather than aggressively argue amongst themselves.

What has happened is an absolute traversty. At a time when we should all come together, I can’t feel anything but them moving further apart. The nail in the coffin for me was departure of James Mason. Even he took far too much unwarranted criticism from many on these message boards and now we sit like a lost club.

This will take many years to fix. What a sad outcome for a club with such a bright future ahead of them only two years ago.

    I get what you're saying.
The feeling of going back to league two after flirting with the championship, after watching similar sized clubs have more success. It pisses you off, it pisses me off.
However, feck rahic, feck the crap currently here. feck all the ill feeling.
You, me and everyone else bleeds Braford City.
We'll go down, but the bastards won't drag us down.
Footbsll isnt a museum, it changes quickly, years, seasons pass quickly.
What shit squad we have now, will be a squad to be proud of soon.
Man Utd will never hurt, nor will Man City or Liverpool. That's what sets us apart.
Take great pride in what and who you are, you're unique as a Bradford fan.

Next season will be the first in 20+ years in which I won't be a season ticket holder. I thought the affinity I felt for the club was waining due to getting older, due to being a father, due to my priorities changing but I've realised I'm not a supporter anymore, I'm a fan, because the club is a shell of it's former self. I go to games because I feel like I should go to games, it's a habit, even when my 4 year old son is begging me to stay at home and play with him. This team doesn't deserve support, support is like respect, it should be earned.

I was pissed off when the result was confirmed today, not hurt, not gutted, but pissed off that it's come to this. Pissed off that something that I loved, that was so close to my heart has been torn to shreds and simply no longer resembles the thing I held so dear.

I was a Bradford City supporter. I was born in Idle. When we moved to Wrose I could see the floodlights across the valley from my bedroom window. Leeds United were top dogs, but my Dad took me to VP in 1968 and I was in love. I have lived away, but had a season ticket since 1995. No more. Had it. Sick of it. I will always look out for the scores, but I am absolutely done now. I have followed some seriously poor teams during this time (as well as enjoying the highs), but enough is enough. From top to bottom this club is rotten to the core. The board, the numerous recent managers, the supposed professional players...........at every level this club stinks. £150 for a season ticket is cheap, but you pay your money and make your choice. For me, there is just no fun in it anymore. Fans falling out with each other, young idiots with flares at away games (of all clubs, fecking fire devices?), a team that seemingly don't care, our better players being on loan from other clubs, our better players sitting on the bench.
I will give the £150 I would have spent to a homeless charity and the club will not have another penny form me. No more shirts and other stuff. I will still watch footy and will probably go and watch Guiseley from time to time, but for me, it is all over. I haven't left City, the club have left me and I shall try not to care too much any more.
Rahic and Rupp, rot in hell for all I care. You have killed one of the loves of my life.

I'll buy a season ticket for next year without doubt. I've seen some people say they won't renew because we're facing shite like Forest Green, Grimsby etc, and I get that to an extent but surely we support Bradford City and who we are playing is irrelevant? I know for me we could be playing dog & gun fc in Sunday league and I'd still turn up because the club needs us more than ever when we're in the shit. You're no less of a supporter if you don't want to watch league 2 next year, but supporting a club also means you've got to stick together in the hard and miserable times too. Just look at Sunderland, successive relegations and they could've stayed away in numbers this year but still sell 25k+ season tickets and they're seeing the benefits. Well, because of that and investment, which brings me into my next point.

Just because I'll renew whatever doesn't mean I'm not sick of the club and how it's being run from top to bottom. Edin has left a monumental pile of shite to clean up but we have no idea who is going to be there with the sweeping brush next season. The club needs to tell fans explicitly whether Rupp and Rhodes will be here next season and if not, is the club up for sale? Also what are next season's ambitions on the pitch? Can we expect a suitable budget and support for the manager to get us straight back up?

In the week Bowyer talked about how well Luton are doing on the pitch because they have the perfect structure off the pitch. What are we going to do to make sure we have a structure in place?

If we start seeing some of these questions answered asap, we might sell more season tickets. A lot of people are not like me and blindly buy into the club, they need something to get behind and to feel enthusiastic about, and that's only fair.

@wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler @Glenn Ackroyd@Glenn Ackroyd I think it's time for another fans forum. I've heard the club will meet with supporter groups at the end of the month but for me this is too restrictive, the board need to be accessible for every fan who wishes to have answers to their concerns.

Forgive me if i don't share your enthusiasm for league 2 football. It took us years of god awful football before we got out of there last time. Certainly ain't raring to go to a home game against the likes of Cambridge or Forest Green, no disrespect to them.

We are all hurting but I’ll never stop supporting the club , these players will move on and we will rise again one day.

Bowyer needs to start planning now, we need to do our business early in the summer and look for an immediate return to league 1

I've zero intention of going next season, not missed this seasons fiasco one bit.

But.....if l was told SmC was coming back, with Robbie Blake & Jamie Lawrence (or a similar group) then I'd buy an ST today.

I said months ago, this set up is like a phantom Bradford City.
