Ironic really when you think about the players heavily linked to us in the past couple of weeks, then out of the blue, this signing was announced today.

Well done to all for keeping it under wraps until they were ready to announce it

Hes on the transfer list for £1m so there's no chance he's coming here unfortunately.

I was being facetious, so is Darragh if he believe he'll get anything like £1m for him, his goal return in his first season at Posh was decent but last season was a poor return, sorry Mr MacAnthony you'll be taking a loss of this lad.

McAnthony and Barry Fry could sell ice to an Eskimo. They might not get 1m but they won't get much less than it either.

The money they make from even one player sale more than makes up for the mistakes.

Without doubt they do well from transfers but they'll make a big loss with this guy IMO.

I could see Sunderland or Pompey paying £750k up front with promotion add ons.

What they do well is they command top dollar for players. We have never ever come close to matching their ability to sell. We have always folded mentally and wet our pants at the sight of a million pound offer.

I'm not sure they buy all that wisely sometimes with all that money - but boy do they sell!

My daughter's fiancee played with Abo Eisa at Wealdstone, in the National League South, about four seasons back. Here's what he says about him:
"He’s primarily right footed, and is just very direct and attacking. Used to always just get the ball and run at whoever was in front of him. Exciting to watch, but can have games where he goes missing. Usually when an experienced bloke puts one on him early doors.
Very nice lad as well. He was at Uni when he was at Wealdstone, unusual for my level! He’s switched on."

Hopefully he's toughened up a bit in the last few years since becoming a FL player. Sounds exciting though.

They scout the southern leagues tracking released Ex Prem and CC juniors.
They got three from two tiny clubs within 4-5 miles where we used to live and sold them for millions.
All these clubs call on Peterborough if a player of the type already mentioned, is worth a second look.
It’s their network and they use it wisely.

This is great news, didn't realise he was a renowned vocalist as well. It's about time, we've been crying out for a player that can bang out a tune.

    From a Scunthorpe fan

Bradford will surely be one of the favourites to go up while we will be odds on to go down so I would say this is a great move for him!!
And then odds are bang on!

    Bradford City…
Great stadium (old but great for L2)
    Great history
    Hugh fan base

    Eisa…
play to his strengths he’s capable of goals galore and many many assists from a wide midfield role
He’s an Absolutely outstanding player when playing at league 2 level in a team that really delivers attacking football

    Massive loss!!

    There again....

Abo Eisa (39 appearances, 9 goals) – 9 goals and 3 assists in 39 appearances is a good return, and in the midst of those stats were a handful or match winning performances and a superb derby day free kick at the Sands Venue. However, despite his ability, Eisa’s play does become predictable and his defensive work off the ball has been inconsistent in terms of desire and intensity. Mid-season comments to the press indicated a lack of focus and commitment, with Eisa seemingly looking forward to getting away in the summer. His goals will be tough to replace especially with budget cuts this summer. Season Rating 6
