I was only a kid but may favourite places were Smiths for pork pies and Pie Toms where you could eat pie and peas with the City players.
My mum worked in the market stall opposite Toms selling nylons, I was there often
    Great memories

Wow @Bronco@Bronco I've never seen that photo from the top of the Kop. I'm guessing early to mid-sixties? Notice what looks like piles of rubble as the base of the Midland Road stand
I love looking at the goods yard, power station etc. Most of it was just disappearing when I started watching City.

Season 64\65 would be my guess a poor season and what looks like a poor crowd
No flat caps gives me another clue as well as how smartly dressed the fans are
Looking at the goods yard and the power station reminds me how things have changed
Come on @Bronco@Bronco let us know what year it was

    Interesting
Could you post a photo of the cover
I thought most games and even the league was cancelled due to the war
I collect vintage programmes and have never seen that one
    Could be a gem

How many players can you identify, @Bronco@Bronco?

Jim Lawlor, Colin Roberts, Peter and David Jackson, Malcolm Devitt, John Reid, Derek Stokes, Tom Flockett, David Boyle, Mitchell Downie (part hidden), George Mulholland, Bobby Webb, George Stewart, Malcolm Currie. I think that leaves two I can't identify.

You've a better memory than me mate, when I was an apprentice at Crofts Eng many moons ago a certain Malcolm Currie was a labourer in the electrician's dept, one day I plucked enough courage up to ask him why he didn't stick the ball in row Z instead of giving a corner away for Burnley to score and take us back to Turf Moor on the following Tuesday night, he wasn't that quick in those days and I got away.
He got his revenge when me and a mate went down to see if we could sign on for the team he coached/managed Phoenix Park I believe, he had us walking around behind the goals then sprinting full out down the side lines needless to say three laps in I was bringing my tea up, after training I went to the local chippy where ironically his wife worked behind the counter, I told her I been down training with Malcolm, to which she asked did he have you being sick, one way or the other he got the new guys to throw up as a sort of initiation, we really should have beaten Burnley that day at Valley Parade even with Jimmy Mcllroy.
