My personal belief is we need 54pts to have a chance of survival,so another 40pts from 26 games equivalent to roughly 1.54 per game from here on in. Thats no easy task but if and I say if we can get 6pts out of next 3 games 20pts at the halfway point with the turmoil of Edin behind us I believe we have a more than a 50/50 chance of beating the drop to L2.

The one thing we have in our favour, hopefully, is that there are funds available to help buy our way out of trouble in January. Without that, notwithstanding the sense that we are beginning to improve, I would be writing us off now.

I agree hopkin says we need at least 4 more players get them in early and I see us having a upturn in fortunes just like Plymouth did last season.

We need many more out the door too, we're overflowing with overpaid dross, 2 wingers 2cbs and a real number 9 are a minimum requirement. Get rid of Kai,Wright,McGowan, Miller,Gibson amongst others.

One step at a time, @Ricky@Ricky ............. Let's stop flooding the goals in, first ! :)
We have some ability, we just need some extra quality (In January), with some well needed self belief. ;)

I think they would want to move on to. Not getting into the Bradford side doesn’t look good on their CV

I agree and think it would. It’s very rare it takes 54 points, I can only remember 1 team(Peterborough in the championship) going down with 53-54 points.

If someone said I can guarantee you 50 points now or risk it for potential less, I’d say give me 50 and we’ll take our chances.

It would be rare, but once a side on 54 points was relegated from our level. See my OP/thread here for more details:

Personally, I think 52-53 will do it, 50 is not really sure enough to inspire confidence, and 55 so far has been a guarantee.

Another thing in our favour is going to be a "second wind" from fans getting behind the team/club following the news today. Plymouth etc will be a bit gutted to hear us more united I reckon. Almost every visiting club has commented in one way or another about "the atmosphere"

I really hope we can get there, but it would be some turnaroun. Getting of the foot of the table would be a massive boost on top of Edins departure. Plymouth is just a massive massive game. I really hope we get out of it but it Would be a one of the greatest escapes I can remember. I feel like if we do get out of it moving forward it could be a massive turning point. I think minimum of twenty point by Christmas gives us a fighting chance. I’m vary of Stefan but he’s the money man an I hope he puts his money where his mouth is moving forward even if we do go down. I’ll always renew my season ticket and I’ll always attend games as I think the supporters at valley parade make it the place I love to go to with family and friends. Total respect however to those supporters that stayed away during the Edin dibarcle. We all need to get to the valley for Peterborough game get as many fans there as possible and show some unity. I’d love to see us wipe that smug look of Steve Evans face. Up the bantams

We never do things the easy way at City!

In a bizarre way, I think this season will be all the more enjoyable from here, IF we can beat the drop, because we have given ourselves so much to do...... it took us to plummet to the bottom of the table to get Rahic out and, in the long term, that change needed to happen. If we had floundered around in midtable then Rahic may still be here.

It may all backfire if we go down, but it is in our own hands. As fans we have to rally around and create more atmospheres like from the Oxford home game and see where it takes us.

We'd have to work on our goal difference for me to be confident in this!

I think the money is there but we’re gonna need to accept that clubs will be out to exploit the position we’re in and try to fleece us. Will we overpay on a player? Not sure given this is the biggest playing budget we’ve had in 15 years. Oldham went down on 50, lost 18 but drew a lot. Could literally come down to the last game
