No added on time board then, no idea how long the ref was going to add on.
    It seemed forever.

My biggest memory (other than being chased by Wolves fans through ASDA car park) was when they hit the post at 3.2 and their fans started singing "Bradford, have you sh*t yourselves"

I remember the day very well. We hired a limo, bought several bottles of champers and beer. We nicely got onto the motorway when one of our party had forgot his ticket! I can’t remember how we resolved that problem. We decided to celebrate before the match just in case. All of us were drunk by the time we hit Wolves place. Boiling hot day, we were all bursting for the toilet. We just knew they would win, but towards the end we kept pinching ourselves, half of our party were in the back couldn’t watch it. That hitting the post near the end was heart stopping, the rendition from the Wolves fans was very funny. I remember the end of the match we just went crazy, hugging fellow fans singing and cheering it just went on for ages. I think we went to Dolly on our return. Fabulous day.

I don't rate this as the best away day ever, mainly because of the stress of the whole situation and the 1988 Ipswich game in the back of my mind. Chelsea and Villa were more enjoyable games as away days purely for the fact we had nothing to lose which made for a more enjoyable game. Against Wolves we had everything to lose and I didn't want to relive the disappointment of 1988 ever again.

Towards the end of the game there was more City fans on the concourse unable to watch than sat watching
Brought back memories of the 1980 Peterborough disaster for me
A great day out followed by a night out in Wolverhampton
As @Chippy@Chippy says the natives weren't particularly friendly

Definitely my best ever away day but then again I missed Blackpool in the play offs due to college.

That must take some beating if you were there I'd imagine!

When we got back to Bradford every pub had claret and amber fans drinking outside all along rooley Lane and onto eccleshill. Fantastic day unlikely to be repeated unfortunately

Great day out, in the end! Remember them hitting the post, but great journey home. Horns blaring outside VP. One of the great away days along with Villa, Chelsea & Blackpool.

Yes - the Blackpool PF game was the greatest away day ever...nothing else comes close.

I don’t know which one is best tbh. Joint number 1 for away days but if I had to choose it would be Blackpool. Nobody give us a chance after the home game so very exciting win.

Totally agree , never be beaten in my view , really deserved the win and a first time at Wembley to follow , no one gave us a chance and the good old Blackpool coach trip details went down a storm

I agree. Amazing night that led to our one and only trip to Wembley. I've been lucky enough to see City play at Wembley Stadium three times since then but nothing beats that first and only time at the original.

In isolation, for me, the Chelsea away FA Cup match (2015) is the best single match I have been at.

In terms of achievement the Wolves (1999) and Aston Villa (2013) away matches are right up there.

However, if I had to pick a favourite match before Wolves, then it would definitely be that night at Blackpool (1996). It's the night when the rise to the Premier League really started.

Strange that my best matches, above, have all been away. Off the top of my head that home League Cup match against Arsenal (2012) would be right up there.
