Not bothered to be honest very rarely used the suite, maybe the grandson got a hot drink during half time or maybe a quick warm through on a bitter December night.

She didn't even know. It was 3am and she'd been asleep for 4 hours.

I Carnt see many taking the offer up personally. They should have done a deal which included food and drink or something but to sit with a injured player or someone who Carnt make the match day squad isn’t something most people will pay for .

You fly BA to the states, you can pay extra for premium economy, business and first. I don’t see that alienating customers who can’t afford first class. Overnight at the play off final, Ritz, Premier Inn or Shangri La doss house in Stoke Newington. Morrisons, smart price, normal or taste the difference baked beans.

It’s life, some folk can afford more than others, make the basic product affordable and then fleece those with more money for a premium product. It’s not the 300 plebs in economy who BA the most profit, it’s the 60 people in the comfortable seats.

We want City to have the best chance of success and have as many people see it as possible. I’d say this is exactly the sort of thing the club should do. I’d have gone further and made seats in the shitty areas, Bradford End, bottom of NW corner, bits where you get rained on really cheap and then the better seats more expensive with average ones in the middle.

I don’t know what you expect but the club is a business that needs to bring money in. There’s a few things I’d criticise Sparks for but this isn’t one of them.

Totally agree but too just have a player across the room from you for a extra £250 is abit of a piss take . I’ve sat up there for years now . Paid a extra £120 a season on top of a season ticket for the privilege . For it to go up 100 percent just for having a player I’ve just watched on the pitch for 90 minutes have a mooch round the room after a match seems silly . Carnt see why anyone would take them up on it . Like I say a food and drink package added onto your season ticket would have been a extra touch and would have encouraged more too take the offer up . I probably no 30/40 people who sit up there and not one will pay the extra for what’s on offer . If your going to increase prices you’ve got to increase the product

I’m purely speculating but is it just a way to take over a suite to change it into a Players Lounge. I remember manny years ago they had their own bar for after matches, not sure about recently. Maybe wherever they used to relax after matches has been needed for office space or something. So they change the 2013 and sell very limited number so players and guests can go in have a drink with no hassle? As you say most people up there will not be pay the £250. From the times I’ve been in there there always seemed a fair few with kids and/or 25yr people. So it would be an extra £250 or £190 for the kids

The idea is right although as you allude to it might need a bit of tweaking to get the the required uptake. Even at Bradford City people will pay extra for that bit of exclusiveness that others can't or won't pay for. Remember the Chelsea reunion, I know the lad who organised it, £50 quid a pop and sold out. There were comments elsewhere that it should have been a pie and peas cheap night for the fans but as usual these people were totally missing the point. If this club has any hope of moving forward as a business ideas like the ones Sparks has implemented are an integral part of the strategy. Turnover should be built on every season.

To be honest I agree with you, £250 to have a pint of overpriced carling six feet from Gareth Evans doesn’t fill me with excitement. But some people will pay for it, you only need 100 to do it and it’s £25k of income, pays one of the first team pro’s salary.

I've moved the 'off topic' discussion on the 25 year tickets to a thread of its own.

Are any of the suites accessible from the lower part of the main stand at half time? My dad is starting to waver about being a week in, week out supporter (mainly due to weather and walking to/from the car) and I'm wondering if a suite upgrade and an offer of being dropped off near VP might persuade him to keep going each week.

not directly but there is a door that has access via stairs/lift. Not 100% sure but my mate used to come up occasionally when he was working for Pulse from where the press sit

The 2013 Players Lounge isn’t open at half time either. So if you want a half time drink inside you would have to get a suite upgrade too
