Huntingdon no. Evans is building up match fitness I presume, at least he’s getting a run out, and when he does play he looks fairly composed. However, I can’t see him replacing Smallwood. Odour perhaps. I’d like to see him start a game to see what he can offer more.

Imagine if Cook completely lost form or got a bad injury (he took a knock yesterday)
Who would take his place Oliver and Smith belong in the National League
Kavanagh is well off form and a different kind of striker altogether
Sanderson is the only one remotely capable of filling in
All the time Alexander is refusing to pick him he's losing match fitness
Very short sighted from our never to be questioned manager

A gulf between us and Donny sums up what the men at the top have brought us to :(
I actually didnt think Donny where anything special but lets be right anyone yesterday half kk would have torn us to bits.

I simply do not get why folk think we are a strong squad i mean you name me a strong squad that only has one decent strijer and the bunch behind him may at best must up 15 goals between them all season

I think it was disallowed because of a foul in the build up, I don't recall any City players questioning the decision ?

Hoping that they get a game on Saturday v. Aldershot. Don't really know what they can do yet.

The goalkeeper situation is also a concern
Lose Cook and Sam Walker and we are bottom half at best

The linesman's flag was up long before the ball was put into the net.
    Couldn't really see why.

Seriously i simply do not get the modern manager and how they simply sit there and react after the inevitable has hapoened ................is it an arrogant thing i mean how many time did the same hapoen with Hughes.
We could all see what was gonna happen yesterday especially at 1-0 down so why couldnt he ?????

Not going gung ho but try and do something to shore up the defence at 1-0 down but he did nothing till it was to late

A good analysis of the game. However, I think he over eggs the Doncaster game. Nevertheless, what upset me yesterday was team selection right from the off. Like many have said this defeat was down to GA. When he did get around to changing it (delayed substitutions is a weakness) and not knowing what your best team is a flaw. We looked a different side not only could we attack but it stopped Doncaster in their tracks. I suppose it could be down to fatigue on their part, and this is what I mean about over egging Doncaster, if you don’t allow them to run through you like a warm knife through butter and you defend properly they had nowhere to go. We could have done this from the start, half time, after first goal, but no we wait until we have been humiliated before making changes. Yes Doncaster deserved to win as they were excellent at exposing GA weaknesses.

I thought first half was a low quality affair from both sides, City giving Doncaster numerous chances to break from mistakes of which they managed to fluff them all with poor finishing, good cover tackling or taking the wrong option with the final ball. Remember saying if we can get to half time at nil nil Alexander can reset us, we got the first bit right but it took till the substitutions for us to look any sort of threat and they came way too late.
Not pressing the panic button, there are very few teams in the division good enough exploit our weaknesses like Doncaster did. That deems we should be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, probably closer to 7th than 3rd unfortunately.

Personally I wouldn’t have started with Wright and Smith. I would have brought Halliday on far earlier. The other aspects of the game, is about better management of the defence and rather than trying to predominantly ‘get it wide’, play a number of balls through the channels, surely that was Smiths strength, and with Pointon/Walker playing just behind, the could get some space.

Spot on bud we actually get our team right from the kick offor at the very least change it when it matters then i doubt Doncaster would have got the result theyended up with.
They looked ok but who wouldnt when the oppo manager is doing your job for you.

Honestly if Donny get top 3 then it proves what a piss poor league it is and if yet again we fail then frankly heads should be rolling at letting another chance to get out if this league slip by yet again :(
We win a few games and some on hereare bigging it ùp when its rank ...............our whole strikeforce is down to one striker and that frankly is fooking shambolic

Any team at this level could have exposed that and you know what this may start happening more and more .................signs have been there even during our good spell ...........we beat Gillingham dont get me wrong but there was a spell for 20 minutes where they could have added to there1-0 lead.

Apparently some on social media are saying the referee booked one of their players twice?

We have the same weaknesses in the squad every week but they aren't exploited every week, hence we sit 7th. Takes a decent side to exploit them, lack of pace in the middle and isolating Richie Smallwood by overloading the midfield. Not everyone does that or has the pace in midfield. The teams that lack that pace and movement (Gillingham game springs to mind) we look fairly comfortable in the centre of the park. Bar the goal Gillingham never looked like scoring.

Why does he continue to play Wright????
Can he not fathom that hes out of form or that he looked ok the back of last season because he wanted a deal.
Richards did more in them 15 minutes than he produced all game.Wright simply weakens us he cant defend and his final ball on the whole is poor at best
