You asked why he's not getting game time from the bench and you've been told-- he's not good enough. There's no point asking a question if you don't want to hear the answer.

 

The point of Kai is that is shows whoever 'spotted' him and sanctioned his signing knows very little about the level required for league one football in this country. There is a common theme right through the club at present of having too many staff, whether playing, coaching or otherwise, that are completely out of their depth. It's not a direct dig at the player, the concern is with whoever thinks they are good enough and decided to take the punt. You can see the same with our obviously threadbare and inexperienced squad, outwith the few decent signings we have. Once we lose some of them to injury, supension, dip in form, we are in even deeper shit than we are now.

Conlon scored 17 goals for us. I can't see Kai doing that. I can't see him doing that because he's on the bench most games. I also can't see him doing that, because he's not good enough. Effort and applauding the fans is all well and good - and the boy is obviously passionate about his football and desperately wants to get off the mark, but with poor positioning sense, lack of control, lack of playing experience at this level, lack of service to him within the team, lack of discipline leading to many fouls being given against him, I just don't see where he's going to make progess within the club. Again, another transfer window opportunity lost - send him out on loan, getting an experienced target man in his place for the rest of the season.
And while we're at it - what's the actual point of Danny Devine also? And while I am still at it - what's up with the reserve keeper situation yday? Why was GSK on the bench and not the other lad we signed? And why isn't the German centreback we signed coming on when we've changed tactics - instead of a lightweight FB playing in that position?
