Transfer Rumour Thread...

Came in looking for a transfer rumour, left wondering whether Colville should come in for Akpan or Wright.

 

I agree mate my only concern would be could he be that influential from the start of a game, certainly not knocking the kid but me or you could have come on after 65 minutes and excelled in that team..................................well maybe you .

Me and you could run around more than Wright and Akpan and i'm nearly 18 stone.

 

He played wel at Macclesfield he was very good on Saturday although I thought Wycombe were awful

 

Akpan yes but not Wright. The one thing he does do is run around.

So in this mornings T&A Parker suggests we are only after a midfielder. So the most lightweight forward line in the division is expected to fire us to promotion?? Why do these things seem to be rocket science to those “who know football”?

 

Great, just a CM apparently. We get rid of a CB and only have 4 on the books inc Mellor (not his favoured position) If we want to play 3 at the back in future it does leave us short. My main concern is up front, if the club can’t see that we need a target man then there’s no hope! Long hard season ahead with a very lightweight squad.

 

It defies logic if we don't add another striker to the squad before the weekend.
But there again logic went out of the window months ago under these owners and coaching team

 

If all we do is add a midfielder, we’re bang in trouble.

A CM and Striker are essential. I believe a left back is too.

 

The worrying thing for me is I think both Mellor and Riley are playing worse than Chicksen!

 

They’ve all been different flavours of dog shit. Tbf, most of our players look like they’re only playing because they’ve won a competition.

 

I'd like to think this is a clever PR move - make the fans think we are only in for a CM then bring in 3 or 4 reinforcements including at least one striker, therefore exceeding expectations.....
But this is Bradford City who aren't very clever when it comes to PR so even though I'd like to think it, I'm not going to.

 

Haha, very true. It’s hard to give many any credit really. I feel a bit for Doyle having to play a role he’s clearly not suited to but full back and midfield is a worry. It’s clear we are still missing 2 players in the spine in Midfield and up front. Akpan looks like Ya Ya Toure but plays like Yogi bear!
