IF Edin REALLY did know football he would know that the performances under Collins are unacceptable and sack him

This the worrying thing. To Edin it might not look as bad. Just look at the dross that has come over from Germany.

That decision alone suggests that it was last chance saloon, to give a rookie and his coaching team a 3 year contract was delutional.
I wouldn't think they are on big money Edin doesn't work like that as we have seen over his time here.
The worrying thing is if he sticks to his guns and wants to employ another head coach how long will that appointment take, more worrying is who takes the day to day running of the footballing side of the club if he sacks all three of the coaching team.

If Edin really knew football, he wouldn't have appointed Collins on the back of (correct me if I'm wrong here) W8, D3, L13 at U18 level.

Thinking back abit more about yesterday it really was safety first football all over the pitch and that can only come from the coaching staff.

Full backs never getting over the halfway line.

Long chipped balls into the channels for our striker who was run ragged and never had a chance to get in the box. We were clearly hoping to get throw ins or set pieces from it yet didn’t seem to have a plan for those as Payne wasted corner after corner.

Then when in possession no one moved to free up some space for a short pass, it was as though they expected the chipped ball forward to happen. When Doyle didn’t make the move it had to go back to the keeper which happened time and time again. It was a shambles.

Just can’t imaging what we worked on all week in training and how we couldn’t see how easy it is for teams to stop us playing.

We have attacking full backs in Mellor Riley and Chicksen, they should be overlapping at every chance. Akpan can drop into the back 4 if we are short and let wright remain more central.

Payne has to play down the middle for me. He is wasted tracking back all the time and Wycombe must have been rubbing their hands with the amount of time he spent in our half

It could if Edin realy does believe he has enough football knowledge to control football matters on a day to day basis.
Could anyone actually believe pro footballers would have any respect for Edin if he did take the job, even on a temporary basis until someone was appointed........this could only be a bad dream situation, couldn't it :(.

Well, alienate the fan base and you dilute the standing of the Club. Each to his own expertise of course, but if he sees it as HIS Club,HIS right and therefore HIS intent then he will surely fail.

I have heard similar comments but discarded them because in all honesty I don't believe even Collins would allow that to happen him being left to carry the can (as now) and have to front the media and be answerable to the fans, maybe I'm nieve and don't want to believe that could be the case.

Everyone just looked so clueless yesterday. The players didn’t know what to do, the captain didn’t know how to lead, the manager didn’t know how to fix it and the fans didn’t know why on earth they’d paid to watch that garbage.
Collins has absolutely no idea what his game plan is, who his best 11 are or what to do when things are going wrong. He’s very quick to defend himself against criticism but he’s not getting it right. We’ve got a few decent players (and a few awful ones) but he doesn’t know how to manage them. Absolutely awful, and I wasn’t even disappointed with a loss because we all saw it coming.

Forgetting Collins' complete tactical cluelessness, he's not even coming across as a likeable character. He seems very arrogant, especially after Tuesday's game where he was demanding respect and making sure we knew that he knows what he's doing, despite only scraping past a very poor burton side. Then he has the audacity to produce that shambles yesterday.

Not to mention his on field demeanour which in all honesty is embarrassing. There's a video on Twitter from yesterday in which he's standing on the touchline motionless, hands behind his back, head down looking at his shoes for a good 2 minutes. Is this really the sort of character to inspire us when we're 2-0 down? It was exactly the same as last week at Southend, no tactics passed onto the field and zero motivation. Comparing that to Powell and Ainsworth who were constantly in communication with their players even when 2-0 up and comfortable.

For all Stuart lacked in terms of tactics, he made up for it by being a fantastic man manager and motivator.
