Sorry I misunderstood the point you were making originally.

There are problems with what you propose. Imagine there's a children's home manager accused of something unsavoury. Are you happy with the idea that while a lengthy investigation takes place he is allowed to carry on working in the home? Indeed the home will be open to all sorts of lawsuit opportunities especially if allegations are proved correct or further things subsequently happen.

Obviously there is a balance to be struck. To be fair to the police in the current situation they have merely confirmed that a 20 year old male was arrested. They didn't name him. Similarly the club has released a statement that a named player has been suspended but refuse to elaborate any further. Both positions demonstrate acknowledgement of someones right to be innocent until proven guilty. By the same token both the club and the police have to demonstrate transparency. Making the whole thing cloak and dagger will take us back to the days where justice had little to do with crime and punishment.

 

The cheerleaders are shite anyway.
