Actually, 1,500 at this stage of the campaign. Secondly, the campaign hasn’t finished yet. Thirdly, did you honestly expect us to shift 15,500+ this season; and then 16k the season after; then 16.5k etc etc; until we have to move away from Valley Parade because we’ve outgrown it. After all, that’s how season ticket campaigns work, right? Nothing to do with infield success, just a steady inclination of sales.

Or are you insinuating we should’ve mirrored last seasons sales? Despite the fact we still might, for those who pass away, does new found support bridge that gap? There’s so many variables to consider.

We had year on year ST sale decline between 2007 to 2011 - losing 4,000 during this time. I don’t recall you or other fans being up in arms then. Or, what about the 6,000 we lost between 2017 and 2021?

By all means, grab that stick and beat the club with it. Because, that’s what it’s really about, isn’t it?

Not brushed over? Some on here and elsewhere have taken Rupps word and run with it as a blueprint for success. I've seen way to much garbage under Rupp and Sparks to get that excited. That said, I'm looking forward to tomorrow, we seem to have a manager who has a plan so next season shouldn't be as bad as this one. David Sharpe is a good addition, just need to get rid of Sparks and find a new buyer for the club then I will become optimistically excited.

Behave, a half decent season this season wouldn't have seen a loss of ticket holders, nor would it have seen such discontent as we've seen this season. Fact that this fan base is still backing the club despite it failings at the top is down to the loyalty of the fan base and nothing more.

Just bought my son his first season season ticket. Can not get him a seat with us so he is sat two blocks away on his own.

To be honest I can not believe the system allowed me to buy a ticket for a five year old on his own

Cruel, he wont thank you for it.
I first took my lad when he was six, he used to get under the seats and go to sleep, 20 years on , he loves it.
toying with getting the grandson a ticket, who goes 6 in August, although the son in law is poisioning his mind with Man ure

Thought I would make a brief contribution to this. Firstly last years figures came about through the continuing Mark Hughes factor and our league position at the time.
This years figures have well past most people’s expectations after quite a big price increase very important for some. And the fact the sales are still standing up, is due to the foresight of those running the club, with the interest free monthly payments. Looking forward to a memorable day tomorrow whatever the outcome

I'm gonna add context to this debate.... especially considering the price increase, the figures stack up

23/24 EB season ticket sales outcome

    14, 645

    https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2023/april/over-14000-early-bird-season-ticket-sales-for-second-year-running/

    Total 23/24 season ticket sales

    15, 054

    https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2023/september/record-fourth-tier-season-ticket-sales---for-second-straight-year/

    So POTENTIAL financials.....

Following on from my previous post

    https://bantamtalk.com/index.php?threads/how-many-season-tickets-will-we-sell.8054/page-8#post-868261

I've done a very rough crude job discounting carers and those whom signed up at "full price" further to the early deadline cut off in 23/24

    23/24.

    https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2023/september/record-fourth-tier-season-ticket-sales---for-second-straight-year/

    7810 adults £1546380
    2041 seniors £355134
    1971 junior (ages 17-23) £342954
    1312 Youth £165312
    954 Young person £28620
    670 25'yearers' £120600
    197 carers £0

    Total £2559000

    24/25

I've used a percentage base from 23/24, denoted in brackets to establish sales as per BCFC post yesterday.

So example 51.87% of sales last year were adults, at 13,023 I've concluded 6756 adults have "renewed" to date. Of course, a tad crude!!!!

    6756 (51.87%) £1682244
    1765 (13.55) £386535
    1705 (13.09) £373395
    1134 (8.71) £180306
    827 (6.34) £ 15713
    579 (4.45) £104220
    257 (1.97) £0

    Total £2742413

    * I've not noted categories in 24/25 figures as BCFC have changed category headings

Very Decent considering we have 1/2 a days trading at early bird prices and c400 purchased further to the EB cut off last season

Poor team management until we ditched Hughes and then the run of 3 home defeats under the current manager have put us in the position we are today....
Should have ditched Hughes earlier and there is more to the 3 home defeats than what was seen on the field, of that I am sure.....
We could so easily have been expecting 22.000 there tomorrow and ST sales in the region of 17-18k for next season but our frustrations really are hardened just as much with what has gone on before as well over the last 6 years or so ....

Pleasantly surprised. The club deserved about 8-9k based on another failure of a season but we are all mugs! We really are a huge club long overdue success when those running the show pull their fingers out

My point is there will be some "gullible" people out there who will buy if the miracle happens, so why not. Absolutely nothing to lose at all and if another 500 bought it's an extra £100k

Great set of figures and links. One thing missing in your post is inflation.
Using the Bank of England calculator you would need £2,575,066.34 to equal last seasons figure of
    £2559000.
However the surplus, assuming your projections are met is around the £167,350 mark. A nice potential bonus to be added to wage pot.
